Find My Phone feature on iPhone has always had the ability to search under the pretense of a finding a lost phone but it tracks the person with the phone so kinda the same thing. Is this going to be a problem now with IOS systems? .
Just signed up at Spruce Creek for a rental till we decide where to purchase. Can’t wait to move-in so we can check out that list of 20 best restaurants on your list while we look for our new home. 🥰
Thanks Ken. An update on the Falls. As of yet the fountain/falls have been inoperable for about 6 months. The manager claims that the pump is out but there seems to be no move to repair it. There is also little or no ability to contact the contractor HOA board with problems.
I've heard there are a few really good ones, like "The Stormin Crab" or "Red Crab Juicy Seafood" but I am not a huge crab and lobster person. I like shrimp and fish, but not a big fan of the others. Although, Lexi has been dying to go to a seafood boil, so I see that happening in the near future. I will have to let you know.
Homeower’s insurance for those that own homes or condos is the one thing that is pretty high in Ocala and elsewhere in Florida. And while Ocala, being inland, does not get hurricane storm surge (typically the worst aspect) we get wind (somewhat diminished) and rain - depending on how close the hurricane comes. But that DOES NOT mean that insurance is cheap because insurance companies look at all customers - at least those statewide - as paying into a giant pool of funds from which these companies are terrified of exhausting or draining should a Big One hit a populated coast like Miami-WPB or Tampa-South again. That is compounded by high rebuilding costs due to Covid-impacted material and economic resurgence labor costs. Our insurance was cancelled due to hurricane risk despite NEVER having filed a hurricane claim! And cancelled again due to roof age. I hear companies are now using drones to inspect roofs and property too. Companies pull entirely out of Florida over this (and CA for risk too) and keep raising rates. Residents are selling and moving to cheaper places like Tennessee and NC. Climate migration. Ocala DID get a big hit on electricity rates when natural gas doubled in price overnight - according to their bulk power rates. I don’t know if it’s comparable to other areas now though.
@@hangdogit This was an awesome comment and very well written. I really appreciate it and I’m sure everyone liked getting a different perspective. I agree with most of this ;) Any of the bigger insurance companies that are opting out of offering coverage in Florida is opening an opportunity to lesser known companies that people may not have even priced before. Sling being a good example of this. We own an investment property in Citrus County and a few in Marion County and the insurance is more expensive in Citrus only because it is in a County with gulf access. City of Ocala electric definitely is one of the more expensive in the state and really always has been. But I’ve not seen as substantial of a price increase to the majority of Marion County via Clay electric SECO energy or Duke Energy. This video is a few years old and I have updated it to this year.
@@vicmaldonado4968 I’m sure the food is great there. I haven’t been. I met the owners a while back and was put off. I just didn’t feel welcome or wanted so I haven’t been. Maybe next year’s list?
Also, side note, at the time I did this list Katya wasn’t even open. They had closed for a month or two and I wasn’t sure if they were going to reopen. But if you still want to strip me of my foodie title, I totes understand and will try to earn it back for next year lol
Yes. Villas are normally considered villas if they are detached and include the land they are on. Whereas Condos normally share walls with other units and do not include the land. While the public record for these say "Villas" and OTOW refers to them as villas and will correct you if you call them a condo...a more accurate name for them based on their descriptions is: Condo.
We are Hispanic and purchased a home in the shores area and we had people stop in front of our home to welcome us. They complimented improvements we made to our home. We also wrote a letter of introduction and delivered them in person to our neighbors. We live a very peaceful life. Thankful
Great video -- we will drive from Homosassa Springs just to go to Amrit Palace. Mr & Mrs Singh are some wonderful people and the food they serve is amazing! It beats anything we have found in the Tampa Bay area or even Orlando!
@@GWM9930 that is so awesome to hear! I love Amrit too! It is across from my office and we get take out at our office so I probably am just taking it for granted. The waiters have always been absolutely amazing. I actually devoted a video just to Amrit in the past on this channel.
@@GreatExpectationsRealty I will look for the Amrit Palace video. I'm sure it will be a great video. Mr & Mrs Singh (owners) are really wonderful people!!
I am watching this after your Live feed and am appalled at the comments those trashy people were making. You responded so well. Bleep the haters! ❤ to you and stay happy.
I always picture people like that being 12 yr old boys that are being keyboard warriors behind their parents backs. If their parents knew what they were saying, they’d probably get grounded. 😂 Either way, has nothing to do with me. 😊 It was ironic that one was telling me how awful I look while the other was talking like I needed to show more skin! 😂 To be fair, I did look pretty awful, but nobody looks great all the time and being authentic has always been my channel’s theme. Thank you for your support and kind words. ❤
I am flying from Nevada today to meet with Charnie. I am beyond excited 🏡🌼🏠🌼🏡. I am sure we are going to find the best house for me🤞 Where should I visit in MC?
