So insightful, picked up some great new tips/tricks. Especially around genre changing and having a large library of stems and acapellas. Biggups Tyler!
I had a few in my crates (and still do, probably 50 lol) when I started this with the conflicted database files but it hasn't been an issue. Just looking in my Serato directory I do have a recent one. To be honest I'm not sure what causes this. One thing you do have to be careful about is making sure you close Serato first on the primary computer before the other one updates and you open it. If you have both copies open and make changes, then the updates go the wrong way, I'm guessing that could cause these, I'm not 100% on it tho. Glad it's working for ya. Still to this day is one of the greatest workflow hacks ever.
Stickybuds and the funk hunters absolutely RIPPED this weekend at The Campout. Slynk was supposed to play too but had problems with his visa unfortunately.
This is awesome! Great explanation and super helpful! This might be a stupid question but what's the difference between selective sync on dropbox and symbolic link? I'm getting a security error message on a M1 Mac when trying to setup symblink and wondering if a selective sync would do the trick? Thanks again for the video!
Is this the transition?! Where you go fascist? Seems like ya mad at an ignorant population at this point, rather than the problems we can see. Lets fix the population.
Hey, bud. Sorry to bug you, but essentially this did not work for me and I’m having issues. I think it Hass to do with me using iTunes to manage the music. How can I reverse this process? Is there a way to remove the symbolic link and get my original music folder back?and then just copy all my music files back into that music folder?
You should be able to delete the symbolic link file in your user level folders, then just make another folder called Music... that should work, you might need to do some research but I think that will work.
