Finally ordered these and yes it did fix it! However, installation wasn't nearly this easy because my old rivets on both sides of front bar had snapped off in the hole. Had to drill them out so the new pins would fit in there and then it all went smoothly.
My top stops when going down, like in your video, but also won't completely close in the back when I put the top up. Will these straps fix that issue as well?
This video helped so much. I got my z about 7 months ago and it’s a rebuild 😒 and it came with 2 cheap keys that were copied and no key fobs. A month later I found out 350z had keyless entry. My 2 fobs just came in today and I programmed them both in under a minute thanks to you 🙏
I can't believe it!!! I am a 70n yar old woman. Took my 350 Z to an auto place and they couldn't fix it. The dealership said unlikely they could repair and I would have to order a new roof - $15,000 later and 1 year wait. I used your straps -- oiled some parts and voila ...it works. A few suggestions but I made it work.

Hello! I was wondering, is there a way to install these bands "wrong"? I ask because I installed mine but the problem persist. Does the top have the be in any specific position , and how tight should they be? Thank you!
If there are wrapped around properly there are a a couple of reasons the top may not be working. Usually it means something is bent and won't allow it to fold. If you want to take some pictures of your installed straps and email them to spyderbands@gmail.com we can take a look. From there there are a couple of things you can try.
Thank you so much. I looked at this for weeks eventually saying I need to bring it somewhere to investigate. 5 minutes on RU-vid and a test on the bar and eureka 😅.
You have to push it in far enough that it doesn't engage the button, but will engage it when the pedal is pressed. It you put it in too far the brakes won't ever release, but it you don't go far enough the brake lights won't work properly. It was more than a quarter of the way on mine. Insert it until the button is pressed, but it isn't pushing back the pedal. Then turn.
@@Ninja97587 Well, kinda, but that is why I made the video. I did it wrong the first time and my brakes locked up on me when they wouldn't release and got VERY VERY hot.

Is was on there where I got it. Don't have this Z any more. Now I drive the blue one in my icon. But Z1 has a 350Z Rear Wing by Stillen that looks similar.

Brilliant! Just had this happen this week. Any suggestions on how to refresh the material on the inside of the door armrests? On both sides it looks like the grey has worn off irregularly. I used good leather cleaner but no improvement. Thanks.
Hey man, i got a 2003 350z, and everytime i get in the car at night and turn my headlights on, the brake lights on the back stay on all the time, but just when my headlights are on. I replaced the brake switch and also check if the brake rubber stopper was there and it was there. But still happens, i have no idea what can be wrong you have any idea?? Im lost.
Great video! I just got my Spyder straps from Amazon (felt like an empty package) and am ready to do this, if it ever stops raining... Okay, it stopped raining. The new straps worked perfectly. I got a huge discount buying this car because the top didn't go down. Now it does, all for $41.61. Thanks for showing me how to fix this.
