Just Might DIY is what happens when two do-it-yourselfers get together and decide to have a little fun.
So hi - we’re JZ and Daniel-a couple of young adults who like to make things. JZ’s wild ideas and Daniel’s ingenuity combine into amazingly creative projects.
We like to do everything from crazy cool home decor DIYs to the just-have-to-be-done home improvement projects. The list of home DIY projects is long, but we're excited about (most of) them.
So join us as we break out the tools and try to not break the things we're working on.
@@JustMightDIY I am just getting into sublimation and I'm trying to find a way to sublimate to brushed stainless so I can make it slightly metallic.... Kinda like a hollow foil card just metal
@Stakespecialty there is a product out there called subliglaze. This is the best clear thing we know to sub on a product not specifically designed for sublimation. As always know what material you're attempting to heat up to 400 degrees and make sure it won't be harmful to you
Great video, im still having trouble getting the black to print right, lots of lines across the print, etc. If I do the deep cleaning, is waiting the 12 hours reccomended?
It indeed good idea to test the machines on cheap materials first before on the actual item of purpose i once wasted a number of cups and plate .If i had seen this video ,i would have saved a lot of important items. But still glad since i upgrade machines annually, i will test them like you do.
Japanese Kintsugi repair kit is the way to go, highly recommended. Knowing a pot is glued up would normally annoy me to no end. “a traditional Japanese art form that involves repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer, highlighting the brokenness rather than disguising it”
Woodglue, if that's what it is, is stronger than the adhesive bonding the layers of plywood. It would be more damage than useful to try to get it apart. It might be salvage what you can and build a new box
Hey! Glad you like it. As with all outdoor decor, the answer will be it depends (on your climate, which method you use and *where* outdoors it is). Once you control for the environmental extremes (generally keeping things out of direct sun and rain), you’ll want to be sure you start with a bit thicker wood that won’t warp as easily with moisture and be sure you’re using a sublimation ink with a high UV resistance to help them last as long as possible outdoors. Hope this helps!
This video made me subscribe to your channel. You guys are the best at explaining in detail with the added funny and humour not to make the video boring. Thumbs up!!
I’m a little confused. I have a Epson® EcoTank® Photo ET-8550 SuperTank® Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer. So I cannot make stickers with it? It has to be a laser printer? Please forgive me. I don’t have the best brain. 🤗 I appreciate any help if you are able.
Hey! Design Space did an update where they just now have the registration marks on the corners. We have an updated video that shows the new process - it's linked at the end of this video. ;) Thanks for watching!
One other thing, does it tell you that it is not Epson ink. My WF-7610 that I converted always tells me with each color that it is not Epson ink....pain!
Hi I purchased a purchase a pyd life for 30and 40oz tumbler without handle the said to put my press on 360 for 60 seconds do I do it on each side it come out and my paper is stuck or burnt on the tumbler I'm using htv sublimation paper. Or do I have my tension set to tight
Hey! If you're trying to do a full wrap, then yes, you should turn the tumbler and press a second time to be sure that whatever is in the gap at the top gets a good press. If your paper is sticking, the first thing to try is different paper. PYD actually makes a paper that we like to use: amzn.to/3YuJzAA (affiliate link) Happy crafting!
It has taken me almost a month to find professionals using CRICUT - thank you. This video is proof that there is great content out there for people trying to make money with their CRICUT and also that you don't have to grab your face and act like you won the lottery every time you made something simple.
Hey there! We're glad you found us (and that you found this video helpful). We do our best to avoid that "RU-vid Surprise Face" unless we're truly shocked at something. ;)
Hey! We love your content! We think you'll love our Muscle & Joint Pain Relief Cream products and would be a great fit for a partnership. Let's discuss further and send you some products to try out.
Hello, I know this video is older but it has come in handy for me. However, are the attachments only for mugs, and if so what size of mugs? Does it not have a tumbler press too and if not, is there a tumbler press attachment that can be bought? Also, if it does not have a tumbler press or an attachment to buy, which tumbler press would you suggest?
Hey! If you're wanting to do tumblers as well as everything else, check out this version of the press. It's branded Swing Design, but it's essentially the same thing with a tumbler heat press attachment as well. ;) link.justmightdiy.com/NewSCHeatPress (affiliate link)
Hey! If you're looking for a heat press that's a bit more affordable, check out this one! It also has lots of extra attachments for mugs, hats, etc.! link.justmightdiy.com/NewSCHeatPress (affiliate link)
Thank you for the great comparison. FYI, you can press the image and the laminate sheet at the same time. This will save a step, although not saving a lot of time. Can you share how the vinyl held up over time. Ones that I did (not holographic) drastically blurred over a short period of time. Wondering if the holographic worked out better.
Thank you for making this video and sharing your tips and tricks. I ran into one issue. After I made the custom cut settings and saved them. I went back to select the custom material setting and it says that the material is incompatible. I have Explorer Air2 Cricut machine.
Hey! We haven’t run into that issue before or heard of others experiencing it. We recommend checking with Cricut’s tech support. Hope you get it figured out. 🤞🏻
