It was my lifelong dream growing up to become a part of the Siren community and have my own Siren RU-vid channel like this. When I finally got my first car and driver's license, I knew that it was go time. It looks like I'm killing it so far.
It belongs to a water company near it. I'm not sure when it tests, but the Vortex did get its head replaced not long ago. It's still active non of the less. It used to belong to Louisville, KY, until the water company decided to make it private. That was when the Thunderbolt 1003 was there before it got replaced 12 years ago.
I know. There is another one that was installed a few weeks ago replacing a 1000T, and it already broke. Louisville might as well go with Whelens since there are already a few out there now. Or go with T-128s. Obviously 2001-130s aren't the best choice for them. 😂
I would like to see this get replaced by a Whelen and go into retirement after 18 years. This is basically the worst 2001-130 I've ever seen compared to one in st peters.
@@nationsirenproductions5209 That would be cool. Then it would be a Whelen next to a Whelen. Except one would belong to the water company, and the other would belong Louisville, KY. The Whelen that belongs to the water company used to belong Louisville, but later on the water company decided to make it private. Then the Thunderbolt 1003 came along and it was there belonging to Louisville KY until it got replaced with this 2001-130 12 years ago. Louisville has 2001-130 issues, I tell you.
@@ACAFan101 there is another 2001-130 that didn't rotate in Louisville KY. The pitch was also off guard a little bit. I wonder if the same thing happened to it before I recorded it, like this 2001. Typical 2001-130 moment.
Wish I knew. It started off with being low pitched to getting higher, and then the rotator just stopped. It's not the only 2001-130 in Louisville that is like this. The Thingamabob guy in the comment reply section said that a Thunderbolt 1000T got replaced a few weeks ago with a 2001-130, and that 2001 is already broken. If Louisville ever came to a point where all Thunderbolts got replaced with 2001-130s, they will be lucky to have a few that actually work. They should stick with T-128s instead if they start replacing more sirens.
@@thingamabob2 were you the one that was recording with his phone by the Chevy? I thought I saw someone recording it while the rotator stopped mid test.
@@BlueThunderboltsiren yes, but in fact there was a 2001-130 (replaced a T-Bolt 1000T) just put up a few weeks ago at Seneca High School and it already broke.
Nice! I was at the Fedelcode 2001 duo in the same county so we wernt too far off lol, I believe this replaced a Sterling M in the early 2000s, that’s weird that it didn’t have a wind down
First Thursday at 10:30AM CST - St. Joseph County Indiana Every Thursday at 2PM EST - Elkhart County, IN (Rural county sirens, Not the town of Elkhart)
Thanks. Lol, the T-128 got caught. It needs to happen more often, though because it sounded fire the way it winded down the rest of the way at the end while facing the camera. The chopper was heard so well. It's so cool you're getting an Analog Whelen today. Those are pretty cool sirens. I look forward to seeing it. I'm getting one of the Thunderbolts in Hamilton, OH today. There is one close to where my Mom works at when she's not doing online work. I miss doing these recordings due to school and work. :(
@@MonkeyFilmProductions it's even worse when the decide to plan on starting school on a Monday. Then you likely get stuck with Homework on the weekends. 🙄😥
I might of asked this already but what camera do you use? I want to get a good quality camera for siren recording that’s better than a iPhone , but I might have to buy a good mic too
@@MonkeyFilmProductions I use a Nikon Coolpix B600. You'll probably need to get a microphone as well for it. I don't have a mic either, and I probably will need to invest in one myself. However, Nikon is a good of a camera. I'm so sorry for the late response by the way.
