I hope we stuck to our Indian system of stating figures in lakhs and crores else we will end up saying 10 millions wedding a year not realizing how exaggerated that number is.

Who cares.. I am not gonna marry and by nature i know how to enjoy in simple things.. I stay with parents to save rent (i contribute little bit financially though). I dont owe anyone anything as world doesnt owes me for free.. I am here for a good time not to build house and car because anyways i am gonna stay single.. No one cares.. Girls care about looks for fun and money for marriage.. To kisi ladki ko acha lagta hu to vo khd ati hai aur jb use dkhta h mai usko future nhi de skta to chli jati hai.. Her choice.. Mje kya😂

I don't agree with this. It depends on where you are born in, what your ambitions are, I know millennials and genz people who work their ass off. The difference is that they know what want. What is the point of working if you can't even have a life. We have the liberty of living a wholesome life without being guilty about it.

Gen z's could be homeless not because of lack of hardwork but because of the greed of older generation as they have stocked up all the money and resources for themselves. Hoarding mentality of older generation.

Many other digital platforms also helped either by helping either by improving the ecosystem or by leveraging the infra. Cheap internet and UPI is biggest enabler of pushing Indians to this direction. Entertainment like tiktok/mx/insta/youtube leveraged the penetration and also spread the reach like wildfire. Gig economy apps is another big example uber/ola/Zomato / swiggy The penetration is crazy. I love the fact people who are unfortunately uneducated are just pretty good users.

*Secrets of a Billionaire Wealth Manager in India: Himanshu Kohli Reveals All* Main Idea: The video explores the journey and insights of Himanshu Kohli, co-founder of Client Associates, India’s largest multi-family office advisory firm, detailing the growth of wealth in India and the evolution of wealth management services catering to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). Detailed Summary: - **Podcast Preview**: The speaker discusses the rapid increase in millionaires and billionaires in India, emphasizing the societal benefits of doing good for clients, employees, and oneself. The speaker thanks the audience and mentions joining the Jarodia media network. - **Introduction**: Host Jivaraj introduces Himanshu Kohli, noting his role in mainstreaming private wealth management in India. Jivaraj expresses interest in understanding how Himanshu built Client Associates over 22 years. - **Emerging Indian Wealth**: The podcast highlights India’s rising affluence, with new millionaires born every 30 minutes and a billionaire every few days. The growth is driven by new-age businesses and technology, with cities like Mumbai and Delhi becoming top destinations for billionaires globally. - **Starting Private Wealth Management**: Himanshu’s journey began in banking, followed by entrepreneurship and a stint at DSP Merrill Lynch. He realized the significant opportunity in India’s wealth creation and focused on a client-centric approach rather than product sales. Despite challenges, he and his team launched a multi-family office, establishing trust and credibility through their advisory model. - **Evolution of Client Associates**: The firm expanded its services beyond investment management to include succession planning, immigration, and private investing. They introduced professionalization in advisory services and positioned themselves as ethical and professional alternatives in real estate advisory. - **Planning Succession Wealth**: The firm emphasizes the importance of succession planning to avoid family disputes and fragmentation of wealth. They take a holistic view of clients’ wealth, addressing comprehensive needs and managing significant portions of their clients’ assets. - **Building Capabilities**: Client Associates focuses on talent, trust, and transparency. They have invested in emerging sectors and developed innovative in-house platforms to enhance client experience. Their approach is driven by a passion for creating impact for clients rather than chasing capital. - **Building Trust**: Establishing trust with clients was initially challenging, but Kohli’s team built credibility through word-of-mouth and client-centric practices. They avoid commission-driven products and align interests with clients by investing their own capital alongside them. - **How the Rich in India Think**: Indian wealthy individuals are diversifying their portfolios, increasing financial asset holdings, and seeking global investment opportunities. There is a shift towards long-term, growth-oriented investment strategies and a move away from traditional family business models. - **Adapting to Change**: The wealthy in India have learned to be adaptable and resilient through various economic cycles. Strategic asset allocation, diversification, disciplined market timing, and extended investment horizons are key factors in navigating volatility and creating lasting wealth. . Notable Quotes: - “A new millionaire is born every 30 minutes in India, and there’s a billionaire born every few days.” - “Doing good for clients, employees, and oneself creates a win-win situation for everyone.” - “Our strength was the client-centric approach and focus on being trusted advisors, not just salespeople. . I don't know about all that and whatever she says. But what I do know for certain is that for the remainder of time that millennials and GenZ live, the struggles are going to get harder. I'm talking about the average millennials and GenZs, not the silver spoon ones. In India there are too many people cramped into a comparativey tiny piece of land. Key word being "comparatively". Resources do not magically just appear with the wave of a wand like in Harry Potter. Too many people, too little resources. Ultimately too much competition for them.

Absolutely true, I have been a people manager for more than 18 years and have worked with two generations of employees and since last two - three years have been seeing these kids born in 2000-2001, just out of college and landing a job through campus recruitment, they have no practical outlook in life, no interest in achieving any goal, want everything on a platter, dont use half their brain and keep taking leaves as they wish. The only interest they have is to apply for some school in another country and settle there and those who can't do that just manage their jobs with minimum expected productivity.

People who’re leaving india are generally students or HNI who’ve genuine reasons to do!! Students because of lack of opportunities and less pay often think working part time in the west will make them more money than in India, rest gaining experience of different cultures, self independence etc are valuable for them unlike here ending with 30-40k salary whereas HNI’s aspire for quality of living and tax relief which they enjoy elsewhere so they tend to move abroad keeping their parents or closed family incharge of their already existing business to enjoy life!! Both ways it’s good settling abroad brings soft power and influence in those countries and working abroad brings back heavy foreign currency remittances which India govt can use for trade.
