Feel free to tell, what you think about my work, critique is welcome! If you have any wishes, what you wanna hear next: drop a comment and I'll keep it in mind.
I don't mind my music being used wherever. Credit is appreciated, but not absolutely necessary. I just want my music to be listened to and enjoyed by as many people as possible. Keep in mind that it's still possible for the right holders of the original track to claim monetization and/or strike you (although this is highly unlikely to happen in most cases).
Some of my tracks got copyright claimed, so you may have problems monetizing your stuff if you use them. Here's a list of them: docs.google.com/document/d/1NTMP0DU8xU9e2ExalLlnRXZgoqkchHtlWSTxPUTY-k8/edit?usp=sharing
there are some requirements for a MIDI to work. I don't remember all of them, since its been a while, but the most important one is that only one note can be played per channel/per instrument and that there is a hard limit on how many notes from different channels can be played simultaneously (but i dont remember the number, i think it was either 8 or 12 but not sure) so if you just download a midi from the world wide web, it probably wont work also in response to your "im using nitro studio 2..." comment, I have never used Nitro Studio 2, but there for sure is a way to replace existing sequences, if you look around in the program you will find it
Well I don't know the data structure of that game so I'm not sure how I could help you there If you have looked at every subfolder and it's not there then I don't know where the soundtrack could be. Keep in mind though that the sound files may be in a very weird spot were the folder Name does not seem to correlate with audio just by looking at the name
Hello, I recently discovered your tutorial. I'm trying to make a song in the style of NSMB, but not hack a song into the game, but still your tutorial is the closest to what I was looking for. So with your methods I discovered how to get the .wav files of the sampled instruments used, but trying to make the song via a DAW has some accuracy problems, mainly because the samples are short but the songs ingame seem to make use of them for longer stretches. Could be my lack of dedication using a daw sampler. Would you have any knowledge on this? Would it be better to use your entire method, assuming that playing the song directly from the game files (via nitro studio or vgm trans) would result in better accuracy?
As far as I know, you only need the MIDI and the bank file if youre using a DAW. The DAW i am using (FL Studio) has a feature that, when you load a MIDI file, you can pick a sound bank. And when you pick the bank from the game files, it sounds exactly like ingame, because playing the MIDI file with the custom instruments from the bank is more or less what your DS does. I hope i could help you out. Im not sure if i understood your problem correctly though, so feel free to ask me again if i did not get your problem right ^^
nope, you need to export them in another format. Not sure about the different compatibilities, but your DAW will probably tell you if it cant read the format
@@bugaljackson494 0:54 , and "Convert to DLS" or "Convert to Soundfont 2". DLS works in FL studio and if i remember correctly, thats a default format that should be supported by most DAWs
i 'm modding a game called space invaders extreme trying to mod 4-6 from phenias and ferb across the second dimention as 5-A and the only problem i'm having is getting the soundfont to work
and the sound effects in space invaders extreme depends on the stages so i'd have to get all of the sound effects back in the wav thing in the correct place i think
I know you can make Flstudio use the bank file to play the midi, but I don't know of any tool that just does it for you. Although im almost certain that there is a tool out there, you can probably Google it
hey i have a fear of regular uploads too! i live my entire life in agonizing purgatory while i strive to 'do' and 'be' 'better' but what does that even MEAN? this remix rips btw good job u should post more
thanks a lot todd ^^ and i KNOW that i should post more and i want to do that, i just dont have the time to do that :/ or im just too lazy and prefer getting murdered by cuphead bosses instead, but ill just not comment on whats closer to the truth lmao
You mean from the DSi channels? No idea tbh. If you get your hands on a rom (if that exists for those channels), you may be lucky and they actually used the same format like for normal DS games. But i couldn't find these ROMs within 5sec of googling, so they may be a bit harder to find (if they exist at all)
@@TheTimebreaker I found the roms, but when extracting contents or putting them into VGMTrans, there are no *.sdat* (sequence) files. Not even streamed music. My theory is that the music is hidden in the game’s code or the dsi’s menu code. Other then that, I’m lost.
@@luke10198 Hm, thats interesting. If you could tell me where you got the roms from, then i could take a look at it myself. If VGmtrans can't find anything, have you tried looking into the game files directly?
@@TheTimebreaker just search for: [NDS] No-Intro - DSiWare [0001-1067] (2018-08-11), Internet Archive, then click show all. Edit: DSi Shop already has ripable sequence by using vgmtrans, only camera and sound don't...
@@TheTimebreaker The only way to confirm my theory about the songs being hidden in the games code is to inspect the rom (I don't know how to code), and the only way to confirm my theory about the music hidden in the main dsi menu's code is to find a .nds file of the dsi menu that has .sdat sequence files in it.
Well i dont take requests directly. If someone has an idea, ill add it to my list and may give it a try Oh and i dont usually remix anything with lyrics
This is a really nice remix and very relaxing, thank you so much for this! :D I'd like to request one, if that's possible? It's the Holoska Night theme, from Sonic Unleashed. The night themes in this game are all great and this one is perfect for this time of year, I think (it has a snowy feel to it, since it's from a cold region).
