Psycho and Toxicity are the songs that I listened to the most when I was a kid, because they were the only ones my grandma had in her cellphone, which was my aunt's. I remember some moments when it was me and my twin in the basement just vibing, they are forever my favorite band. We were about 8 or 9, now we are 18!! Feels so good to listen to these songs again.

Forest is literally the planet/forest talking to us. The other song ATWA is the word Charles Manson used for "earth, air, water, planet" and saving the spirit of the planet. SOAD is very big on the divine spiritual layer of things, as also pointed out in Aerials. Buncha shrooms used properly will open that stuff up to you, which they did
It’s crazy how this was their first album and they created a total masterpiece right off the bat. They literally could’ve only ever made this album and still would’ve been legends; it feels like a complete journey from start to end. It’s also stupid how you have to PAY to see lyrics on Spotify now. I’ve always hated the service but that’s the nail in the coffin. How low can you be?

17:19 one of the most evil riffs in existence and very underrated song on this album. Actually Slipknot was featured on a movie called Rollerball and they played this song in the movie.
early 2000s, the album got its name since there was an uprise in leaks and pirating their music, to the point where almost the entire album was leaked with demos almost a year early, and so they paid homage to people being SO NEEDY for the new album, and thats how it got it's name

i know it’s been over a year since i posted this but my autistic brain is telling me to comment this, you should try listening to the final mix of your songs in your car cos that’s how most people are gonna listen to it and you can balance it out with the sound you get from headphones

i always took the nameless as a song about a person with 2 very opposing sides to them, one calm and rational, the other a violent maniac, and the constant internal struggle between them, finally with the maniac side winning in the end. "Stay inside the hole let me take control" "i am something more you are something less" basically internally talking to himself
