I was in Salem back in July and you could just walk into Charter Street Cemetery so it must be new. I'm traveling back to Salem from Canada next month !
My grand dad delivered laundry back in the day, one day he delivered laundry to Clyde at a motel room. He my grand dad a 20 yold him to keep the chsnge. He did not know it was Clyde.
My family and I went to Branson, Missouri to visit the Titanic Museum and it was very intriguing! I touched the water and it was so freaking cold! I also got to walk up the tilted details of the ship! The movie Titanic (1997) is what made me learn about the sinking of the RMS Titanic on April 14-15, 1912.
The very first high school named after the president,John f. Kennedy is in San Antonio, tex, all my children graduated from there,I still remember when his life was cut short, all the teachers were crying, teachers were going room to room sending us home,so sad,the most loved president! May he rest in peace!
Too bad I missed the parsonage I wish I had. Ill go next time. For those visiting the the walk to the location from downtown Essex in Salem to proctors ledge (Witch hanging site) is a little much. A lot of crosswalks etc. Btw the locals recommend against going there at night. Please be respectful people live near by. fyi the stones stacked at the memorial have purpose and meaning for those who wonder why.
Those pumps weren't there in 33, maybe from the 60s. My parents are from the South. In my little kid days, I saw gas pumps from that era. Funny looking, but they worked. Gasoline back then was less than 25 cents a gallon.
Great video! Only thing is the kid was 15 at the time and it was ruled a suicide but the family definitely did NOT agree with that due to many mitigating circumstances!
Ma mère mes sœurs avons tellement pleurés à la mort de JFK je suis oct 1954 🇫🇷 je me souviens de tout … c’était tellement horrible et triste sa mort 😭❤️🙏🇫🇷🇨🇦🇺🇸
This was so very interesting. Thank you for all of your research, and, on the spot reporting, and sharing.🤗🎊 I have never been to some of these, eight sites. I would really love to go to the Salem Witch Board Museum. It seems interesting. Thank you so much, for this *guided tour of many of the highlights in Salem, and the surroundings. Excellent job, research, and presentation Nick, as always. 🌇🔥💥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Witches were banned by the church from being buried in consecrated ground such as a church cemetery. So the families had no choice but to bury their people secretly! When your 9th great grandfather was pressed to death, these memorials take on a very different meaning. These poor victims were actually people with families -- not just names on stones from history! Giles Cory was not a nice man in his old age, but---. It is frightening how powerful hatred, fear, greed, coveting, prejudiced, lying and intolerance can become and the damage to innocent people that occurs because of it! What is the most terrible thing of all is that it is happening today just like it did in 1692!
So what I read on a history site said that they went to that restaurant and had breakfast and took two sandwiches to go for lunch. Clyde got a BLT and Bonnie got a fried bologna and apparently they were sitting in the car. She took one bite of the sandwich and that’s when they got the hail of bullets Shot into the car and it was 167 bullets
Love, love, love!!!! Went to Salem twice and loved everything about it. Yes, your last video I watched helped us out a lot. Thank you! Thank you!👍 Looking forward to visiting there again.
Sou do Brazil....a história de Bonnye e Clyde é facinante...vi um filme sobre eles....muito bacana histórias sobre os mitos Américanos....Deus abençoe os Americanos....
Unfortunately that theater is NOT the original theater. It was destroyed many years ago and restored in early 20th century. The only thing original in there are the four walls surrounding it and the outside brick. Sorry to burst bubble 😮
Congratulations to you both with lots of best wishes for your fantastic news I've just realised my birthday is so close to yours nick mine is the 7th September best of joy👍
Great video! We absolutely love Salem and are bummed we can’t make it there this year. So nice to see I through thru your video. You hit every spot. Thanks for this 😊
This was TOTALLY so cool. You're in town for 24 hours. You did more, saw more, and shared more info, than many people who live nearby.😂 I love how you include eateries, as well. I can't think of anything you left out. I know that I learned new info. ***The timeline, and the list in the description, says it all. Since we're planning on going to Salem soon, I'll be rewatching this video, Nick. It is absolutely phenomenal, as usual.🏡🙏🏻🦹♂️🧙♂️👏🏻👏🏻🎊
AWESOME! 👏 🎉🎃 I NEED to go to Salem soon. So much history and such a cool place. Great job Nick another fantastic travel guide from you and your wife 👏👏👍👍
So another thing about the Rebecca Nurse Homestead is to the right of her monument is George Jacobs Sr - (1609-1692) was an English colonist in the Massachusetts Bay Colony who was accused of witchcraft in 1692 convicted and hanged on August 19. He was buried near where he was hanged. BUT his location was lost till 1950 when found and boxed up till 1970 when found in a drawer at the Danvers Historical Society in 1992 he was finally laid to rest here 300 years later. Also 1 of his decedents is Minuteman Pvt. Henry Jacob Jr. Danver's Militia who was killed April 19th 1775 at 21 years old. at the battle of Menotomy the site of the bloodiest fighting around the Jason Russell house. he is buried in Danvers
