A random sink? I tried to sink, with my lights, turned it on and ..... water everywhere. Now I realise non IP65 (budget) lights should be synced differently 😢. Maybe I should just RTFM? Sorry, bad attempt at humour. Sidus One looks quite capable but me thinks currently beyond my current need set, as a newbie novice. But, I just ordered my 4th Amaran light, still learning and think I need to gravitate towards DMX capability. Much to learn still .... I'm working on the principe of 'theory, practice, review, repeat, skill then application.
When you give a Cue a bump behavior, it activates when you hold the Bump action button and is active for only as long as you hold your finger on that Bump button. When you release the bump button it releases the cue. Useful for when you want to do a quick and dirty flash effect of a light or a group of lights (because you can also tap the bump button repeatedly quickly to go the values/colors saved into the Bump Cue). Bump cues are also useful when you want to have a light or a group of lights flicker to black. First you record the group of lights on at the intensity and color you want the look of your scene to be to a Cue, then you clear the stage and Go that Cue (Lets call it "Creepy Look"). Then you select the light(s) that you want to flicker and set them to 0% on your stage; record those to a Bump Cue, and clear the stage. Now you can tap or hold the Bump cue to "0% bump" or quickly black out those light(s) for as long as you hold or tap that bump cue. A second cue should layer over the first cue that is active.
This may sound like a dumb question. The 600d pro has crmx. Would it work as a receiver to connect a 300x, from the 600 Dmx out to the 300x dmx in? To work around having to buy a receiver like the sky node?
@@snickernick3651 Hey there! Yup that would work. If any fixture can receive a dmx signal (either through wireless crmx or wired) it can daisy chain the dmx on through cable. So going out from the 600 and into the 300x would work fine and I do it all the time.
I Use Sidus HD with Bluetooth for FX on aputure lamps, as you’ll use astera next for astera fixtures. For normal fading up and down, Sidus pro/luminair. Both are (as far as I understand) at a same level. Blackout stills stable and reliable at least. Still wait for V1.2 of this app.
Haha. Keep in mind we did this as a “let’s just open it up and use our intuition” vs like reading the instructions haha. I have since used it on set and getting it up and running is as simple as any other system. Plus the firmware update that happened after this unboxing seemed to correct a number of the issues we came across. Thanks for watching!
