Price Collapse is not that shocking but one part of a larger commentary on current EV industry dynamics. Agree with many points and you allude to the Osborne affect on the Taycan with the vastly improved 2025 holding people back until they can get the new and improved model. It means the cars are getting better on a fast timeline which is what we want to speed up the transition. EVs are on par with ICE for range and recharge/refuel speed is pretty close now. For owners who bought that are fixated on resale value consider how much you like the car. If you like to drive it and it behaves within the limits you accepted when you bought it then keep it and enjoy. To be sure the Taycan has had some functional issues but its mostly covered by warranty and still a good car. If you always want the latest tech then lease it or buy used. I hear you can pick one up for a good price now (wink).
911's are $150k for base model on Porsche website. However you cant get one that easy. All used ones on autotrader show minimum paying $130k with the car already at 20-60k km. Its crazy. Not a good deal at all for the used market rn.
7 months later and the battery pack has been upgraded to 92kw. Also the comments dividing the gas tank size into the 690 range are assuming you will always being doing long range driving. It would be a good guess that most folks will be driving with the 150 mile range of the battery. Personally I will be charging at home off of my 25 solar panels. Also for me the Ramcharger will be another household battery backup adding the equivalent of 6 to 7 Tesla Power Walls to my existing 2. When you subtract the cost of Power Walls from theq cost of the Ramcharger, this vehicle is almost free!!!
But I have to say everything about this truck is just outstanding. You can’t find a better make up, but me personally do not want electric vehicle for the reasons I stated earlier. I wish I can have the same truck exactly the way it is with a V6 or VA engine.

I am a car nut, like Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, and Porsche. Porsche is by far the best driving car. I could never understand why until I bought a 911 GT2 2011. I love them all. I am not a race car guy but still want to buy the best I can afford and enjoy them. It is a joy to get on the road and see a nice straight or nice curb and feel the blood rush throw your body.
it is by far not, you never owned any of these for sure, and frankly they are extremely slow cars that should be limited to 250km/h.... not that it makes a big difference anyhow as they really really take long and struggle to hit 300km/h.
I can tell You there is no decline in values. This video is fake. Normal declines, but steep!! No chance, good look getting one at retail, or one at all from your dealership.
This video lacks “humanity.” It’s all over the place in a way that detracts from veracity on any level beyond “Porsches are cool.” I’m about to go to my local dealership to buy a 718 GTS 4.0 for which I got a build slot last year, so I’m very glad to hear your straightforward rebuttal. As you say, it was the only way to get a new one at retail.
@@ravensfan1825 I got my 911 GTS on January, ordered it November of 2023 and I had to pull strings to avoid the 30-50k premium on it. Spoke to my guy about the 992.2 and he says the list just got bigger so that model will also be hard to allocate. So in conclusion yeah I would not worry about this video
I hope they let us pick the bigger battery and the ellipse stereo with the lower priced Tradesmen. I don't need all the bells and whistles, heck I'd even roll my windows down..stay well
