there is a better way and its way easier you behead the chicken then wait for the blood to drain so the system cleans up and then take its feathers off
Imagine removing feathers by hand like I do when I help my mother we usually butcher 15-20 chickens for the whole year bc we eat a lot of pork but u have a nice going setup there I like it
It’s called pasty butt. It’s when poop sticks to the chicks vents. It can cause problems if their vents are blocked. Some people spend a lot of time cleaning rear ends. But I’ve never lost one to pasty butt.
