As a racing fan, your channel is absolutely fabulous...the quality of the videos is superb, better than many that remaster old tapes....and the records of places and races a window to the past ....... saludos desde Chile
This is awesome. I've been to lakeside raceway. It's surrounded by suburbs now. The people who moved there tried to shut it down. They complained about the noise. My Mum and Dad followed these Australian drivers in the '60s.
It was filmed in Superpanorama 70, a 70mm non-anamorphic format, marketed as Cinevision when presented on a curved screen. It was reprinted anamorphically in 35mm and often advertised as a CinemaScope release. It was even shown in a Cinerama theatres, where it was advertised as a Cinerama release.
@@Rocco_Cars-HD I had no idea then, as everything nowadays is just fake or AI. That's beyond impressive. I have never seen older races this good before, the sound is also satisfying, assuming it is also real.
@@cybergothika6906 No AI, this is original full movie...Interesting🙂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-adtIbOVphYI.htmlsi=NjPCiLIjyqsG8ZxH
Veramente noioso il commento vocale che non lascia spazio al suono del motore. The voice commentary is truly boring and leaves no room for the sound of the engine.
and a year before (92) some other cars already had semi automatic shifting and active suspensions, but Senna kept sticking to manual shifting against Mansell and the rest like fckn beast 😂 and he even finished the season at p4 in the driver standings hahaha he’s the goat
Senna had no choice to use the manual gearbox at the beginning of the 92 season as the MP4/7 with the semi-auto box wasn't ready until 3 races in at Brazil, which he used for the rest of the season. McLaren also had active suspension for years before Williams perfected it in late 91/early 92. McLaren also had traction control in 92. Senna finished P4 in the 1992 standings, behind Schumacher in a Benetton with an underpowered Ford V8 and no semi-auto box, active suspension, traction control, or ABS etc (although Senna did have 3 more retirements). Not belittling Senna's ability or this lap, both of which were incredible, but let's not forget that Senna drove cars with numerous technological advantages compared to the majority of his competitors.
Great job! I think Spa was the finest circuit of all time. Not safe, but the whole layout is a crazy joyride. Thanks for sharing, the quality is unbeliveable.
Awesome! Much appreciated. I was a big Chaparral fan...not so much Ford. I built models of many of these cars, and still think it was the most beautiful time for sport and racing cars.
For those wondering what happened at the start, a number of drivers had very bad starts. Alboreto stalled from 4th, and Piquet in 5th had a very bad start too. Amazingly everybody dodged them. Further back, Derek Warwick had a very bad start and was dodged by Martin Brundle and Rene Arnoux. Phillipe Alliot had a decent start and was edging ahead of and moving over on Arnoux as Arnoux dodged Warwick, they collided in the middle and Alliot ended up in the wall. Arnoux carried on, and despite later playing bumper cars with Ivan Capelli, continued going round until running out of fuel on lap 44. Shoutout to Alboreto though, despite stalling at the start and ending up at the very back, he worked his way back up to 4th!
Murray Walker had perfect prononciation of "Québec" (where Gilles Villeneuve was from). In this video he actually paused for a mili second just to make sure he had it right, and indeed he had. A true professional!
Ah, right, that explains it from an experts point of view. Your F1 and WEC career, tell us about those, you obviously have lots of sage like insights that will make us all quicker.
