My NDE was the polar opposite of what is normally reported. No white light, no feelings of love or acceptance, no welcoming group. There are no words to describe what I experienced but it was dark, chaotic, and painful. The closest analogy I can come up with is a full on street fight with a foe I couldn’t see and didn’t understand, and it went on for an eternity. According to the machine’s record my heart was stopped. According to the doctors I fought my way back for reasons they can’t explain, and my heart started an erratic beat. I eventually ended up with a pacemaker and a constant reminder that every moment could, indeed, be my last. But, other than that, my NDE has had little impact on my world view. I have long understood that we are all a part of an evolving experience we tend to call “the cosmos”, that compassion, humility, and the search for wisdom are the things that matter. And though I found the experience of dying unpleasant in the extreme, it isn’t anything I fear. But then, I didn’t fear death before the experience. But, in any case, my NDE wasn’t anything like what appears to be common.

Thank you so much for this. I’ve had a few near-near-death experiences (long story why I use that term) and after one in the late 90’s I remember that everything I did was experienced with crystal clarity. Like, shortly after, doing dishes at my kitchen sink while looking out the window. It was sunny and everything was sparkling and glistening as if I was viewing a fantasy world. My life felt completely different after that. Things I feared (many work related things) suddenly became like a game and/or a puzzle. The fear and worry were gone (I’d even been homeless for a period and feared losing my job and returning to homelessness). After the one in the late ‘90’s I didn’t fear death at all. And when my mother died shortly after that particular experience, I wasn’t sad for her at all, I was happy for her. What I felt bad about was my surviving Dad and how profoundly it effected him. Something I’ve fallen back on in the years since that particular experience was that every day is a bonus. It has become my mantra when going through difficult times. This and eternity - that our lives are barely a blip in relation to eternity, so live every moment as if your last.

It only takes one experience where someone reports being alert and watching an event while ‘unconscious’ to prove that consciousness survives and is independent of the body.

The eloquence in his speech is amazing. He is deeply analytical, and yet even being that way he is able to step outside what he was trained in and can see the validity of people’s experiences. The fact that this man has put decades of work into something he knew would put his academic career in peril potentially… that is amazing. A good man, and I wish I could meet him. God bless, Professor.

The reality of NDE being more real than the physical experience. In my opinion, it is to do with the senses. Near Death is experienced with the soul's senses which are not limited. As in physical experience, we perceive with our physical senses which are limited so the experience is not as full as the ND experience.

At 23:21 Dr Greyson mentions that NDEers talk about mistakes and do not mention sins. Interestingly, the root meaning of the Hebrew word for sin means to "miss the mark" as in an archer that does not hit the bullseye. This interpretation opens up a great landscape of discussion on interpreting the bible and various church teachings about sin.

The 'black void' is exactly what happened to me in Feb 2012 Saturday aged 30. I was there in this black void/space with no pain, no anxiety etc just there neutral, not scared not happy just observing with vision... And to my right was this multi coloured energy of love, beauty and above all WISDOM pumping out the feeling of wisdom to me which overrided the love and beauty. I can't explain how, what or why but it was the energy of wisdom which was alive and all knowing. It was beautiful. How can the thought of wisdom be alive with energy and feeling? I never contimplated wisdom in my life beforehand. Anyway after that I then had my visitation from my loved one who passed away two months prior. Thanks

I've felt, inherently, that we all face a review, video of our lives for lack of a better description, when we transition from this physical life and also feel the effects of our actions with others.

*The human entity is NOT LIFE... "LIFE The Real Self" is non-Dimensional, and in NO WAY represents nor even remotely looks anything like any species, including the human species...* *In 1973 I was pronounced "DEAD On ARRIVAL" at a medical center ... More than half an hour passed, then my heart started again... During that time I, "LIFE The Real Self", entered the WHITE LIGHT, and have remained in the WHITE LIGHT to this day... Those who claim to have returned, have NOT recognized WHAT, The WHITE LIGHT actually is... When you do, and accept it, you shall remain in The LIGHT as I have...*

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.

I grew up in a dysfunctional family. A pattern handed down. But I was different . I broke the cycle by loving, caring and nurturing my children. I also experienced a Sleep Paralysis Demon Attack. Later after thinking about it. I believed God allowed it to happen. As to say “See Son, that was just a little taste.
