In 98 a few of the bandmates came into Belgo in NYC and sat at the long wooden table right next to me and my friends. One of them had a baby I believe at that time. We were huge fans, but we let them have their peace without us being intrusive on their time. But literally we sat right next to them for the whole time we were there!

Awesome. I saw both Machine Girl and Stereolab live in the last year. Have you ever listened to Container? His latest album Yacker is like heavy garage rock sculpted out of electronic noise samples. I'm obsessed.
I got into stereolab back in the day. A friend gave me a tape. Listening makes me want to go to France and I imagine a summertime, cycling, French villages, and French motorways.
Just guessing here. Looking at the lyrics translated to english, it seems like a melancholic song about being nostalgic for childhood. The word "Reverie" means "a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream." I'm not sure about the name Cybele, it is the name of an ancient goddess, which may have something to do with it, or it could just be a name. But my guess is that the title is a reference to whoever Cybele is daydreaming about the days when she was a child.
Just want you to know = you record companies who keep moving and deleting (etc) Topic Channel music? You are the lowest of the low and you make life trash for everyone. I really hope you feel bad for the rest of your wasted existences.
I love Stereolab. First saw them at the 1997 Reading festival. Funny in this set how Classic TIm Gane, puts himself in the background, insists on never facing the camera.
