@@omarku79 no idea. 10yrs ago. Long story short..... Magnaflow resonated tip oval. They sold round aswell. I believe I baught as I saw a 4.2 A6 All road on RU-vid with a pair fitted.
@@user-zy3bv4yy1s easy as. Sweepers. Goldwing hunting ground. I fukked him up cause he was riding my ar5e through the twisties just before he passed me. I let him through so I could return the favour. Sharing is caring. He did not like it apparently. He was exceeding his capabilities. I was not. Wing destroys sweepers. Twisties, I know I'm not on my R1 or VFR1200F. If I was this video wouldn't even be made. The turd would have got nowhere near me. 🤦😂🇦🇺
@@alitoroganan2442 I'm 6'2. My opinion is 💩. No not a small bike. Change pegs, bars & seat? Yep. Enough for you? 🤷 Can I flat foot. Of course. Would I buy anything I can't? 🤔 Not sure. Would I want to tippy toe 265kg? Yrsci have dropped mine in a wet car park. Yes I did end upp with 265kg on top of me. Yes I needed a mate to lift it off me. Learnt a lesson that day. Have special rain shies that know. How low can the seat go. Need to google. Though I have seen one on bikesales before seemed noticeably low, so........... 🤷 But yeah, I'm not the guy to ask. Hit up a 5' 7-9" guy. Might help. Graham_vfr on here maybe 🤷
@@gorbacev85 don't even have torque. Average Harley 146-168nm vs Grandpa GL 170nm. Mine will be 185nm after tune. And that HD average is spread over the 107/114/117ci. 117ci btw being 1.92L. 120cc more than my 1.8L. Luckily we don't need to talk power or 7spd DCT gearboxes. But I'll soon be running 16% more power & 9% more torque. So...... 🤷
Zero. Best kept secret. Don't care. If it's fukkn awesome, not buying till 27/28 atleast. I wouldn't be racing to buy a 24 though. 40th was a nice bike.
If buying used, the tour is probably the way to go. You can always get the kit to make trunk removal a 15 minute job. If buying new and you're already stretching your budget, bagger is a better value. Cheaper to go that route and add an aftermarket top case. As for the DCT.... had it on my little CTX700 and LOVED it. Now have a (very used) K1600gtl and miss not needing to shift. Going to replace the Beamer with a used GW (DCT for sure)..... and if tour, I'll be missing the GTLs 60 SECOND trunk removal capability. Honda..... WHY THE F DIDN'T YOU COPY THAT??? The Spyder RT Limited also has that ease. FFS Honda, get a clue.
DCT x2. VFR1200F. I'm a luggage whore. That barely has luggage removed either. In fact just got a 45L box to replace the 31L. So it's running 105L now. The wing just looks well put together with the top box. Not a add on or afterthought. It is rock solid also not a hint of wobble. Not hard to remove. Not 5min. But not hard. If you only tour 1 or 2 times a year, buy the delete kit for the rest. I've pulled mine off to fit a 4" back, 1" up adapter. Massive difference. Still looks sweet. Just as rock solid. Last tour removed hitch rack and placed a 35L dry bag on pillion with ease, vs, squeezing in my 26L and having the 18L on hitch rack. Yet to fit or need or use trunk rack, but there if required also. Could take either the 18L or 26L if needed. But light. As in rain gear, jackets, layers, clothes etc. You've seen me use the top box for daily duties. That's a given. Just way to easy to use. Central locking, drop 💩 in walk away. I chuck a million things on the pillion under the cargo net. Again just so easy quick and practical. Do the same on the VFR1200F. Now that Lil fella(265kg 😂😂) is a absolute commute demon. Yet can also grab a week's groceries with ease also, and then some. And I eat alot! I do alot of running around on both my DCTs. Luggage was a non negotiable. Touring? Weekender, 3,4,5 day etc, summer, winter, rain. Never once concerned, oh, 💩, what do I carry. Pack it, bring it. Tented a few times. But only weekenders. Have plans for a larger hitch rack to carry my 60L dry bag if needed. All the gear, somewhat of a idea. 💡🤔
@@Paul_Zernick I'll be going the used route when I finish moving (one less thing to move 1600+ miles). Almost certainly will get the tour. Happy/safe rides, dude 👍!
Had one for two years in Australia from new, love the engine, handling good. Gearbox, manual, gearchange absolutely shocking. Quality excellent but the big, big bitch suspension. At the launch the hype on this bike which was Honda's flagship was exciting. But it never lived upto Hondas expectations, the DCT would provide the answers to that awful gearbox. Luggage with virtually no possibility of suspension adjustment, means problems. Coming over a hill into a dip and back into a hill meant a hard slam on the front forks which bottom out really hard like hitting a brick. This was a continuing problem. It was not possible for me to adjust the suspension to get the correct sag and suspension travel (I weigh 75Kg) The answer to turn this into a awesome bike would be buy the DCT version, new decent forks and rear suspension. Wouldn't take it on the track with that suspension.
People are still chucking ohlins on these 15yrs later. Nah, I re-vamped mine. Front n back. YSS/hyperpro. Ohlins? Way overkill for this bike. But everyone's got hyperpro, nitron, wilbers etc on the back by now. DCT is fab. DCT on my 18 wing is not much better. So it's a reliable consistent stable predictable box. Tbh, was never ever going to get this bike without. Got the VFR before the wing. Would I get DCT on a VFR X or africa twin? 🤔🤔 🤔 Not sure yet. Yes, not ruling out adding a X. I end up on dirt regularly, I'm keen to do more. No, don't need to spend $4k+ on suspension. But yes does benefit from aftermarket. It's a daily query on FB groups. I was fine, till I wasn't. Won't rule out more work again at a later stage. Otherwise?? Fukkn weapon. Replaceable? Nope. H2SXSE....... Maybe...... 🤷 Now? Definately not.
Brillant. I’ve only had one short go on one-a 2021 bagger. Loved it. Currently have a Pan, but a Wing will definitely be next. This video bears out my first impressions. Also, it will probably be my last bike, as I’m now 67, and those creeper gears will become increasingly handy, as will the DCT..
You'll love everything. Especially 2 extra pots. I had a CTX1300. My 2nd bike. I have a VFR1200F. I like big bikes, speed & comfort. And well, goldwing has always been the standard. K1600 a close second, but more GTR1400 than GL1800. And if I want the real deal, than the 1200 V4 delivers in spades. I have the big vif with DCT also. Accident? No. Love DCT. Between Android Auto & DCT the main reason I went GL vs K16. Won't rule out a K bike in the future, but with what's out TODAY, no. And am eagerly awaiting a extra treat or 3 hopefully in the 2025 50th anniversary. We're all holding our collective breath.......... BTW there is a BT Moto tuner out now for the 18+. Most guys seem happy. Am I looking at get one? Tbh? As I have 170hp big vif? 🤔 Yeah, not likely.
Heard of sprints. Just checked again. 96kw. VFR800 78kw. VFR1200F 127kw. Same eras..... '10-ish+. Getting more 800 vibes from it than 1200🤔🤷 I think they were more in competition with each other. The 1200 was a weirdly recieved rooster.
Still considering adding ADV. But I smash bush trails heaps on my goldwing...... So ....... Maybe not. Would love to do dirt over 60-80kph but..... 🤷 🤔
Please enjoy your delusion don't let me stop you. My Gold Wing hit a brick wall at 115 miles an hour so I know this is not real. The guy you thought was racing you was not racing you.
Enjoy you delusions, they guy was up my ar5e riding me before the over taking lane. I simply returned the favour. It boiled his beans. Much as it did me beforehand. I was there to ram home a life lesson. 185kph? 😂😂😂 Priceless. I do more than that with my tour screen on, fat arming it on my highway pegs. 200kph and a bit more on a good day with 500kg and a shorty screen on. I'd say I feel sorry for ya, but you're a shit felching cunt, so I don't. Enjoy your lemon fuck eyes. 🍽️💩
@@Paul_Zernick and it's not KP H it's MPH. 115 miles that's the speed limiter on the Gold Wing. FACT you're not gapping any sport bikes with your Gold Wing nobody's buying it the guy wasn't racing

@@Paul_Zernick Take care and dive safely. My wife and I spent 36 years on holiday in Caloundra near Brisbane and it must be heaven driving all those great routs though down under. You'r soo lucky.
I've had Electra Glides, Road Glides, and Indians. I always gravitate back to the Honda. Comfort, power, and reliability. And a reasonable price. I don't have to spend 5k in extra crap to get it to ride right. It just goes from the factory. My DCT would eat a CVO all day. For half the price. No tuners needed.
Randomly came across this vid while going through past bikes. And this video has made me really miss my VFR12DCT. Shame I had a dog of a version (Needed a new exhaust 3 months after buying it second hand, not economical to repair). Would love to have another one parked next to my BMW R1200RT. The VFR12 DCT is a bi-polar bike. In drive she's as sedate as a 500cc commuter, stick it in sport and it reminded me of the zzr1400 I had, just without the chain drive.....damn the more I'm typing the more I'm missing it
I would do that to my son on his Yamaha 650. Then he finally bought an older Goldwing for fun. He called me after an 800 mile Saturday and said, "Now I understand how you could do that to me." LOL And I was in the lap of comfort and luxury the entire time. LOL
65km. 40-80kph. Sh1t to pretty manageable. First 10km was corrugated corners. Progressively cleaned up. Had to keep ya concentration but, especially under the shadows later on. Plus sharp rocks. Not interested in a cut tyre.....
I never got the panniers with mine which I really regret. Unfortunately it now sits parked up with a blown 6th gear and I don't like I ke my chances of finding a mechanic to repair it.
Indeed. I asked for it. I started at the tail of a 200-300 Harley ride. Army veterans. Not cool enough to be up the front. Even though I'm a 25yr Commando veteran. Have to have fat useless poge's on pig iron up front to ease their fragile egos. I was not popular at the half way turn around. Fukk em🚫🤣🤣🤣🇦🇺
@jasoncruz3237 4x magnaflow resonated tips. 8yrs old. No idea today. Running a 6.4 Jeep SRT atm. Will be chucking long tube headers on that soon . Gutted the stock exhaust on it also. And soon to gut oem mufflers on my Goldwing too.
