Volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides, are all sources. But in antiquity there were likely other sources, too. Thousands of years ago and millions of years ago there were other terrestrial and extra-terrestrial sources of disaster that caused large bodies of water to move quickly over landscapes and coastal regions.

Hypernadoes… if these were possible- they were also. And wind speeds in tornadoes tend to be much higher than a hurricane. Think about that, nearly sound breaking wind speeds in a tornado larger than a big field.

This video is Choppy. Terrible Quality and if the user did this to avoid copyright there are better ways. This is absolutely ridiculous! Who would want to watch something at 2 frames per min. This particular episode is very difficult to find online! I wanted to see this and the only person to upload it "YOU!" gave us a video that has worse picture quality than a 1920's Black and White silent film! Take this down and upload it properly this is abominable!

Bill definitely loved Ron Shock. That was obvious. The world is a little less bright without these 2 gentlemen in it. But their voices will live on forever. RIP outlaws

"I think someone would've been astounded if you told them 10yrs ago that a hurricane would've struck the US and killed 2000 people" - the absolute fckng hubris of that statement.. People like that guy is exactly why it happened

Katrina itself wasn't the lone culprit it was also the total failure of New Orleans to upkeep its infrastructure and an incompetence federal government. What's crazy is barely a handful of ppl know that a few short years later a tsunami would kill over 180k ppl and be forgotten very quick

Damn....... Thank you David for this. I had, of course, never seen this performance. Hindsight is 20/20... so cut yourself some slack. But you are right.... this young man was WAY ahead of his time. I am now 74. Some of what Bill railed against has softened... but we are still an angry, stupid species who rarely recognise either genius or the truth when we first see it. From Somewhere, Bill is still laughing. Bless you BOTH ! Grandma Sally

Material is dated in my opinion, not completely ahead of his time especially with the semi-homophobic material. Maybe Dave was ahead of his time for cutting it, but not really.

Years ago I wanted to make a song with excerpts from Hick's comedy. To make sure it was ok so I found a number online for Sacred Cow Productions. I called it. Bill Hick's mom picked up. She did not want to consent to me using his stuff [probably because Tool maybe screwed her] but we talked for a few minutes and that was that. I can't believe that happened. I hope she is doing well.

Why are they laughing at things that are not jokes or meant to be funny? WTF. I bet there's either a cue card or light indicating to laugh. Host: "in the news today, a 5 year old child was brutally beaten. This saddens me." Audience: LOL

Although it was a nice gesture that David Letterman did this, I still think its a tad too late for the sorry’s. At least 20 odd years too late. Dave was getting around $14,000,000 a year when he started The Late Show and blocked Hicks’s set from airing on it. So thats 20 years and around $280,000,000+ too late to ever take it back completely. Bill Hicks is long gone now so its just something Dave is still going to have to live with even in his own retirement 🤷‍♂️ It must have been eating away at him for years though to make a complete segment out of it

CBS made the right decision to censor Bill Hicks. He was calling on people to commit violent murder. There was no way he could do that and not be censored. His performance doesn't hold up well at all, it's not very funny or clever -- typical of someone with a liberal/degenerate mindset. Letterman never should have apologized.

Same here, weird history is a pretty fantastic channel with tons of great stories like Bill Hicks. I had no idea about Letterman pulling Bill's spot on the show till today. Bad move on Letterman's part but at least he apologised and aired the spot finally.
