The 540 tourqe tune or the 380 sport tune is really good for these cars. The 380 sport tune is nice because of how light the motor is and makes handling a bit better.
Hello from France. Thank you for the video. Races with Grasshopper and Hornet only were the most enjoyable competitions I've done. Modern RC are too fast. Still using my 35yo Grasshopper...even after it falled of a cliff to finish in a river a few years ago...😂
Tt-02b performs pretty well stock. The question is if it's better to just buy something else for the money or upgrade the tt02b. Either way, the tt02b is a very fun chassi to upgrade 😀 nice video as always Bloka 👍
Thanks so much mate, I think if you want a car to race around a track it's better to buy a proper race kit than upgrading a car like this....for me this car will not be replacing a race car, this will be used as a practice car to learn the track and just have a ton of fun....you are right, the TT02b is a fun chassis to upgrade and since there is no shortage of aftermarket parts I just can't help myself adding some modifications 😁✌
Pretty awesome I’d love to get one for my collection another lunch box and a mid night pumpkin do some videos on those as well good to see more videos on the plasma hb I think it’s a very underrated car that can be race ready also try TLR 45 weight oil for the shocks should be more than enough.
Thanks mate definitely these cars will add much fun to a collection, with the right upgrades plasma edge becomes a very capable machine.... also have the TLR shock oils here, will be trying the 45 to see how it does thanks for the tip.....if we can get this car to do some nice clean laps I think it will be done to use as our practice car to learn this track before we go to a proper race car 😀👍
Man that track was muddy! At least you had traction right? LOL! Cleanup was a chore I bet. Buggy looked good out there. I wish those cars had a little more ground clearance.
Thanks man, yeah the track was a mess that day but traction and steering worked pretty good , I was surprised how this buggy went round the track in rough conditions, it should do heaps better on a clean dry track....these cars are abit low to the ground but I think with the right suspension setup it should handle it no problem....and that's the beauty of this chassis....from box stock that's not meant to run on a track to a upgraded version that can 😀👍
Thanks buddy, yes the original sand tyres will go back on at some point, this build was to be similar to the hornet so we can race them together and not let one car have an advantage over the other, except motor in this case, should be a close race 😀 👍
I changed the position of the front Shocks and that seems to work, the back needs to stiffen a touch, it's the back that slaps off the jumps, will keep working on it until we get it right , cheers mate 🙂👍
Cheers buddy , all will be explained at some point will do an origin's story but I will say I grew up with rc cars and muscle cars , bikes.....drag racing. So i am abit of a rev head.. bloka was a nickname or a call sign I got from a car, like a motor.....a big block engine , so it's all car related I just fuzed it to RC 😁✌
Yeah, man, gotta love your attitude, keep at it! Hopefully next time the track will be more dry and smooth, should be easier for the little buggy... 8th scale tracks are tough! I had my try last year, the one I tried on was a mean one, so I eventually decided I'm having more fun and freedom just driving on the road... After watching your video, I do feel like giving it another go, he he...
Thanks so much my man, yeah I'm determined to make this car work for this track, most my cars I drive on the road or off the beaten path but I want a few specific for a race track to get back into racing again, this car is strictly to learn the track more than competing, but will eventually do a race car for racing, just not sure which one yet 😁👍
Thanks so much mate, we have a few tracks in Sydney most of them are club, I know KaosRC is lucky enough to have a bmx track close to him luv watching his cars on that track 😀👍
Agree as an Australian expat in Malaysia we don't have many free tracks or bmx tracks. Though in South Australia I had West Lakes BMX track and many others plus endless spots and open tracks. Cops will not even send you away for running nitro as there happy your not doing bad things and tellt eh Karen's to go away, so can go to 12am 🤣
Thanks buddy, yes it did surprisingly well on a rough track, can't wait to see how it performs when track conditions are good, TT02B platform has potential 😀👍
Thanks mate, I think this car needs some fine tuning, correct gearing and tyres and on a dry track this car should perform very well, have to wait and see 😀👍
Cheers mate, this car did surprise me how it performed on a muddy track, I noticed alot of guys were running the 1/8th scale Losi truggys on this track 😀✌
Great run, the track is rough for 1/10 cars. I ran my blitzer beetle around 4 months ago at the track and damage my rear C hub from the jump at the end of the track. Great run mate. Enjoyed the vid👍
Thanks so much mate, yes the track is rough, i spoke to the guys that race here on the weekends and there is still work going on and maintenance etc, it will be interesting to see when it is finished, definitely will be back when its dry for more practice sessions, eventually want to build a race car specific to this track 😃👍
I have taken this car through puddles and have driven it in the rain with no problem but I wouldn't say it's waterproof as electronics are are not sealed 🙂👍
I'm doing one of these now. All the detailed paint too. I went with the roof sticker tho. I have some other knock offs from aliexpress like a hornet and falcon too.
I would like to get a hornet, are they original tamiya mini 4wd? Also need a race track for these so we can race them, think it would be fun with the family 😀👍
Mate I just got some track time with this car and the turn buckle set makes it a must, being able to tune camber and toe in /out and steering is a huge advantage 😀👍
Im off to Japan in 3 weeks for work. At Super Rajikon they have the green Grasshopper for 6500 yen a bargain. My tourque tune and esc from the TT02 wil go to brushless hitec 50th 10.5T motor.
Wow that's awesome man, enjoy japan and definitely pick up a few things from there the prices are too good to miss, heared the food there is also next level 😁✌
@rcbloka Japan is amazing place, as an Aussie expat I live in Malaysia and travel all over South East Asia. Korea also has some great shops and I'm dlways on the hunt when I'm away.
@rcbloka I moved from Adelaide 10yrs ago spent 4yrs in Singapore 4yrs in the Philippines and 2.5yrs in Malaysia and seen all of Asia. I'm just lucky it's all paid for by work. You should get over and have a look go to Japan and stop in Thailand you will love it and get some bargains.
Cheers mate yes I think the layout is similar , both entry level but I think the DF02 has some slightly better components like the gears, I haven't built one yet so I can't confirm, but both are a step under the DF03 😀👍
That's awesome thanks so much man, will look into it , first will see how it goes on the track with these upgrades and then will fine tune, thanks again for the tip, cheers 😀👍
@@shadowracer2311 i know it still needs are few things and tuning but need to take it on the track for some practise laps to confirm, track was wet last week will try again this week, this car will see some action very soon 😃✌
Cheers mate, let's hope so, have been trying to get some track time with it but the weather has been holding us back, hopefully soon with abit of luck 🙂👍
Thanks so much mate, awesome entry level car to start with and upgrade , the loads of upgrades made these cars so popular , just need to see now if this car cuts it on the track for practice 😀👍
