Shut up and just play the episodes. I just deleted all the Amos 'n' Andy episodes from your page due to the annoying words spoken before the episodes. There's absolutely no reason to speak. Just let the legends do the work.
Don't think he will. OTR had some amazing sound effects. RU-vid has turned off monetization on my channel. Please read the description on my latest OTR post
I love these " Old Time Radio Shows " . They were so popular before Television came along. When I am listening to them my imagination is creating all the SETS and Backgrounds. " The Mysterious Traveler" was only one of many Radio Shows of this nature, most of which were Very Good.
thanks. They are sometimes called The theater of the mind. They made you see what was happening when you could not watch them. I am a bid fan of OTR. TV took the advertising from radio and they finally stopped making them. What A shame. CBS Radio Mystery Theater brought them back with new shows in the 1970s and they are very good.
AND THEY EVEN MADE GOOD, OTR UP UNTIL THE 1980'S!!! "CBE RADIO MYSTERY THEATER" & "TWILIGHT ZONE", FOR EXAMPLE. THEY EVEN RAN "GUNSMOKE" ON RADIO AND TV AT THE SAME TIME, AS DID "THE JACK BENNY SHOW". SO MUCH GREAT OTR AND EVERY GENRE YOU LIKE. P.S. THE SOUND EFFECTS MEN WERE KEY TO THE STORY, JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE WRITERS, MUSICIANS AND ACTORS.
As I was growing up, my dream was to be the sound effects person on one of these shows. Today, I do just that at a local senior center. I do the sound support for the actors and singers. At 81 Y/O, I still get a thrill of doing these shows. If I need a sound effect, I just go on the internet, and there it is.
As you know Wayne. Some of these OLD TIME RADIO SHOWS managed to make the Jump to Television, I am thinking of " The Lone Ranger and Dragnet " Perhaps, and I am only guessing, " The Mysterious Traveler " may have made it to Television under another NAME! like " Alfred Hitchcock Presents ". It would be right up Alfred Hitchcock's Alley to have a Character like this!
@@careycraig4360 Yes some did make it to tv. Mysterious Traveler as Alfred Hitchcock, could be maybe even Twilight Zone....... Also some of the actors of Radio made it to TV also and were very good.
My husband and I both like number one, the original thumbnail. The combination of the red and yellow in numbers two and three hurt our eyes. Thank you for asking our opinion and thank you very much for posting these wonderful radio programs!
Hi, Wayne ~ Hope you keep #1, it's easy to read, all info is basically in one place, we can focus in on the "target." # 2 has same problem as #3: my eyes have to move all over the place to gather the info I need, & the color changes add more visual confusion. Are you just bored & wanting new, or is there strong reason to change? For my money, if it ain't broke, don't fix it ;-) Best regards, thanks for all the entertainment ~ M
