Welcome, I’m just graduating from a doctoral program in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. It’s a huge life change and I created this channel because I was looking for an online space for people like me who are interested in natural medicine, in health and self-development but who also enjoy lifestyle content like recipes, beauty topics and vlogs. I noticed that a lot of people haven’t tried acupuncture and Chinese medicine because there is a lot of misunderstanding and mystery surrounding it. The channel is a lot about what acupuncture and Chinese medicine can do for you. But if I only focus on that, I think I might burn out. I like sharing videos on related topics regarding wellness, diet, exercise and skin care. Hopefully, mixing it up will keep things interesting. Thank you for watching.

105°F (41°C) with 40 percent humidity. Wow... I can just go outside in the summer.

The twisting, backbending and compression postures really make it worth the torture. For about 24-48 hours after class, I am completely pain free.

You appeared to have caught the attention of the algo. This video was on my home page and I have no interest in acupuncture. You may want to post daily to grow the subscriber base.

@@DoctorofAcupuncture my first plan was to post one video per week. (it's a hiking and talking kind of video, so it takes a lot of time to edit) Now I decided to post two videos per week; one being about my YT growing journey. I also think though, that posting more often in the beginning might be a good idea. But there are so many conflicting information ... so, I guess, the best one is: 'Listen to your gut.' 🙃

Agreed, a regular practice definitely changed my body for the better and more than that, it has changed the way I relate to my body by helping me to value it more and all of the amazing things it can do.

Do you think bringing a thin blow up mat is worth it or obtrusive to others space? I'm going next week to Denver 7day my first retreat. Thank you both for sharing your experiences. ❤❤
@DoctorofAcupuncture
@DoctorofAcupuncture Месяц назад
Hi, thanks for your comment. Congratulations on going to a retreat! I think it should be fine to bring a mat, as long as you don’t mind being in the back. That’s what I did. Other people brought mats and would set them up in the back. If you want to be down front, then usually people sit in the chairs that are provided. I wish you the very best next week!

Where do you recommend getting bones/meat from?
@DoctorofAcupuncture
@DoctorofAcupuncture Месяц назад
I get my lamb and beef bones at the farmers market here. For chicken bones, I will roast a whole chicken and use the whole carcass after I take the meat off. You could also check out butcher shops or meat departments at the stores around and ask them for what they might have to spare. Are there any farms near you that raise meat? That could be another option.

This seems like an incredibly important, under-discussed topic. I have wanted veneers for a long time and this makes me completely reconsider that want. And my boyfriend has been suffering with a number of physical symptoms and imbalance that he thinks could be connected to the jaw...I'm curious about the connections you make here for him...thank you for sharing, I would definitely be interested in learning more from your videos.
@DoctorofAcupuncture
@DoctorofAcupuncture Месяц назад
Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I agree, it is definitely underrated how much our jaw position and dental health in general dictates our overall health. Is there something more specific that you or your boyfriend might be interested in hearing more about? I could expand more but would want to make a video that is useful to people.
@margotkistler

@@DoctorofAcupuncture I’d be curious to hear you discuss more about the jaw as it connects to tension in the face, neck and shoulders and overall alignment; and/or tips for how to release locked up energy/fluid or whatever it might be in those upper body areas. Also, separately, if you have any thoughts or advice around digestion or acupuncture-al wisdom to optimize digestive health, I’d be very interested to watch a video from you on that.
