I am on my 2nd set of MT51's. Average 50K plus with 40-50% off road. Only destroyed a couple of side walls - other brands in same terrain I would destroy 5-6 sidewalls in similar period. Imperative to rotate these tyres often. Noisy but nothing I can't live with (turn the stereo up). Some chipping but have only taken one lug off down to carcass (much better than other brands). Very cost effective. I am rotating 10 MT51's between car & trailer. Happy as I could be without going to a tracked off road vehicle.
So driving on that flat road is "tough"? You're a fucking idiot. Damn near any tire on earth made by a major manufacturer would handle that fine. There was not a world of difference, unless you quantify exactly what your arbitrary marketing angle criteria was. Deceit. I'm not suggesting the tire is bad, but this video is rubbish and a waste of all our time.
thanks mate, i put a set on my ranger today, went for a spin out the road and sound was hardly there. more coming from the mirrors. Started to rain as well so hit the round about hard and no slide out so see how they go. They do look shit hot on the wheels. What pressures you running on the bitumen and on gravel roads etc?
Up in the ranges in the stony country around 26 psi and around 32 on the blacktop .. just love them. Those tyres were tested out here in the Broken Hill area where I live .. they beat the Mickey Thompsons and a few other top brands .. tremendous braking footprint on bitumen .. they pull up in a hurry ..love em
I'm really interested in Kumho's tyre testing and results, as I'm about to replace the Kumho's on my 4x4. I assume copping all the dust in convoy is this just for the video.
The Ecowing KH27 is a truly awful tyre possibly the worst you can buy. Doesn't grip in the wet or the dry. Yes they are quiet but when they spin in the dry they make the highest pitch scream I've ever heard from a tyre. I've driven on bald tyres in the wet that hold better then these. 1/10
Just bougth a set of 195/60R15 to my old avensis, gonna drive a bit over 3000 kms this summer so I, get back after that. But so far they've ben pretty good and quiet! I have driven in sweden in 25-32 C (hottest summer I've experienced)
