Just over a year later, the utterly incompetent ITC would hand over the London Weekday franchise to Carlton. A channel that might got over the quality threshold on paper but delivered absolute s***. And now look at the state of ITV!!!
Anyone remember the 1975 YTV strike, where they took Tyne Tees programmes until the strike was settled? Guess both being part of Trident TV at the time allowed them to do this.
This is great to see as I remember HTV and ATV having their opening sequences before having to switch the TV off to get in the car, so didn't see what happened following them. The only other upload I've seen appears from Thames who, strangely enough, omitted their opening sequence and theme.
Done for "Love Me Tender" on ITV for the 10th anniversary of Elvis's death. It was also included on some pressings of the Japanese version of the "Actually" lp.
