The red wire is hot at all times. The blue wire is the command signal from the PCM. The signal is a duty cycle, (on for a percentage of time). The gray wire is the alternator "telling" the PCM how much it is charging the battery. This is also a duty cycle.
Don't clean spine fin coils unless you are 100% sure needs cleaning causing issues and only used water to clean. Automobiles how often the condenser coils gets clean?
Check the engine air filter and air flow sensor in the hose may need cleaning. If okay check the trottle body may need cleaning. Check camshaft sensor. Check spark plugs pcv valve valve cover gasket for leaks. AllALLDATAdiy recommended for all repairs and Hayes manual maintenance repairs.
@@islandbeaches395 my sentra 2015 started doing this at around 80,000 miles rpm gauge would just start jumping 5-10 rpm and would be fine a bit later brought it to nissan no trouble codes got worse about 100,000 miles brought it back still no trouble codes at 120,000 complete cvt transmission failure then a code poped up but too late... nissan jatco transmissions are notorious for this... hope it is not the problem but it sounded like what happened to me.

You're sure you don't need the bracket? I feel like the welds at the upper flange are going to be overstressed. They may not fail right away but I bet they'll fail prematurely. The engine rotates slightly when you hit the gas and the lower cat flange gets tugged on by the flex pipe. I feel like bracketing the cat to the block protects the upper welds.
I understand what saying putting stress on the wields with no support.Ford discontinue selling the bracket and the catylic converter integrated with exhaust manifold.The manufacturers who is designing the after market catylic/manifold exhaust did not make a bracket for the exhaust manifold. Cateran sells the moon bracket but did not designed one for the 04 focus and dorman sell the moon bracket with the catylic manifold exhaust and it's expensive. The junk yards you can not get the bracket because they salvage the bracket when they removed the converter for a profit. I used all new studs and flange nuts exhaust manifold and changed out all the motor mounts. The after market converters is lightweight than the oem converter exhaust manifold and the oem bracket is heavy and less wight on the engine block.
Do you know if the vehicle comes stock with the spring set or just the bolts? I saw your manual it only goes up to 2012. I just purchased a 2014 Sentra sv 3 weeks ago private party and now got the p0420 code. Got under there today and the set that’s on there now has the spring and nut at the manifold side ( assuming that’s the upper)and just the bolt at the bottom. I’ve looked at rock auto website the o2 parts is listed as oe. And an eBay exhaust seller sells it with just bolts. I don’t want to run Into waiting for parts. And can the be replaced from underneath the car? Or do I need access to both upper and lower. The manifold if against the back of the motor so reaching towards the back from the top with be a challenge as I have several back issues but I can’t afford to pay a shop to do this. I can afford the parts and do it myself. In hopes it fixes the code and the check engine light. Just hope I didn’t get taken advantage of. This car was clean the seller had the engine detailed and all so I didn’t see any leaks of sort. Even under the car. But when I got under their a week later to do an oil change I saw a little wet spot coming from the top side some where. It wasn’t bad drip just enough to show it’s got a small leak. I believe both sensors and a complete new exhaust was like 470.
Sell did not offer a warranty? Federal NY CA emissions? Yes all the converters comes with new hardware 4 springs 4 bolts gaskets and you have to jack the car up to acess the bolts from the top and the parts. I used nissan bolts and and springs easier installation. Do you a have rear catalytic? or catalytic converter built-in to the exhaust manifold? straight pipe with 2 converters like the nissan in the video? P0420 multiple issues. Fix the oil leak valve cover gasket leaking and check all parts exhaust manifold/gasket intake manifold engine air filter electronic trottle body spark plug holes vales seal . I did a video on nissan sentra I replaced the 4 fuel injectors was causing P0420 the o rings was dry rotted and one fuel injectors was not functioning correctly. I just used my head narrow things down. I purchased 02 sensors on amazon and the converter exact fit just like the oem is the second time I replaced the converter. You just have know what type of emissions you have and converter. Called nissan and give them your vin number and they will let you know what type emissions and converters before purchasing 02 sensors or converters aftermarket. I do not buy emissions parts from ebay never fit correctly. I buy from Amazon 1800 radiator RockAuto.
No did not come with bolts or nuts. Y pipe connection use studs and and flange nuts. I replaced a few studs on the rear upper and the front upper and replaced all the flange nuts and the converter I only replaced the flange nuts. Local auto store sells the studs flange nuts.
When replacing the converter studs. Heat and hammer to pound the studs out of the flange and honda sells the studs and nuts for the converter depding on the year and make or you can replace with nuts and bolts. Dorman part # 03415B upper lower studs. Heat on all exhaust hardware if never replace.

@@erinburke9711 04 ford focus cateran did not make adapter bracket or a support bracket. I called cateran and the company send me a adapter bracket but I did not used. It's bigger than the converter pipe. I have no bracket support on the converter. The converter lightweight compare to the oem. Ford discontinue selling the oem bracket and converter with the heatshield. Local welding machine shop make something up to support the manifold.

Hi, I have a car in Texas that needs a catalytic converter. It will eventually be going to California. I would rather get the work done in Texas. What catalytic converter would be best for a 2016 Nissan SR with 1.8 engine? Should I get it CARB compliant or will EPA be sufficient to pass smog? Thanks.
Oem converter is federal or California emissions? Replace with original converter when you purchase the car. Fix other problems before you replace the converter. You can go after market with ap converter or oem.
Rear bracket is attached to transmission housing with four bolts and the top of the motor mount is attached to the bracket and the motor mount with one bolt and the rear motor motor mount is attached to the sub frame with four bolts.

Used a torch till the nut turn red then used a 14mm bolt/nut extractor socket with a back up 14mm combination wrench from habour fright comes in a set. New bolts and nuts from nissan.

Hardware ship with the converter did not work for me and you can use the hardware comes with the converter if the hardware works for you or you can buy from any vendor besides nissan.I recommend buying ap eastern converter. California emissions same fit as Federal emissions and there is many on line discount stores sell ap converters. rockauto.com and for the hardware parts.hartnissan.com
@Nadia Gordon Called the parts number the link I sent you in the previous conversation and gave the parts people your vin# they will let you know the correct part number for the rear of the converter and the front of the converter and ask the parts people if you have California or Federal emissions converter.

@@jessestowers1039 no bro but if the pigtail don’t work check your oil leak close to the belt. Mine was leaking oil and falling in the belt and caused the battery light because it was slipping
