Im a plumber by trade, but I love tools and wood working. I would be happy to share my knowledge of them with you. Thanks for checking out my RU-vid channel. Mike
I just got one. I can't figure out what thr black button on top right side does. Manual says it's a"tool and bit adjustment button" it does nothing when I push it even if I push the vac shaft In some to mimick setting the suction thing even with bit like manual states.
Thanks. Was apprehensive drilling into my Sawstop fence. Will drill tomorrow. Any tips for the sliding table? My back fence on the sliding table keeps knocking into the cast iron table top if the saw
Hi Mike, thanks for sharing this build. Was a little tough to watch though as the focus was not very clear at times and the camera was moving all over the place. Also noticed that the shop lighting was pretty subdued which made it tough on one’s eyes. Look forward to more videos and projects 😊
@@TheBuddylab Yessss! Thank you. No rush. But I am excited. Builds like that are always fascinating. Decisions of which pieces to lap in or out and fixing hinges.
Great job. Appreciate your sharing your ideas and solutions with us. I actually have a small shop and a 1 HP collector. I’m wondering what width pipe to use where I’d minimize suction loss but still wide enough to accommodate the machines (mostly 4”). I do have the 4” flex hose but considering having your pvc as the stationary “trunk” and then maybe branch to various machines with some kind of quick connect. Not quite sure yet but you’ve got some excellent ideas here, esp the SDR35 pipes. I’m shocked at how much people spend on the metal ducting solutions. Obviously great solution but way too much $ where I’d prefer to put it toward a Domino or drum sander lol. Any thoughts on static issues w the pvc? Thx again.
Nice, informative video! Thanks! I realize this video was posted a few years ago, but a couple of questions: Does direction of flow matter with the male/female fitting? Or SD35 pipe? Or other fittings? Thanks again.
Thank you for specifically calling out what sort of PVC pipe to use. I had heard people talk about the different types of PVC on RU-vid but they didn't go into detail. Appreciate it!
Could not figure out the small bag. ToolNut carries Veto, Klein, Milwaukee, Occidental but you said something like HeavyRedefined or 735. Looked at every bag on ToolNut to find but could not. Wait is this old and it’s a Calevera leatherworks number 5? Haven’t made those in years. Sucks I missed out on those. Have an apron from them.
Love it. Hoping the video for the travel hobby box gets released. It is shown in the visit to the hobby store but I cannot find the video after looking through carefully. This video was put out two months ago. Watched it anyway. Always enjoyable.
Great job Mike. I have the 16 and have been able to work around its limitations. If I was buying it today, I'd get the 16PE to start with. I also put a small piece of plywood on the leading edge to keep the end from sagging down. I also use the Dewalt guide rail quick clamps. They work great with the Festool rails.
