Not worth it only good over 50 yards. I can tell you what I hit my door 50 yards. It’s a short game that I would like this at work complete false advertising when you look at all the ads doing. I know how far I hit my get. Great false advertising by company crap product.
I've downloaded this today, had a few goes with it (although phone was leant against ball basket on an angle, I'll invest in a tripod) so far the app seems really cool. Came here looking for tips on using it, loved your review. #Thisisdope lol.
I love this app, managed to get a 10 out of 10 but still need consistency because when I went on the course I was hit and miss but much straighter than normal
I won't buy any monitor that requires a rip off subscription fee, on principle. I can afford to buy any launch monitor, but manufacturers are clearly ripping people off. It's shameful.
You don't 'have' to buy the subscription. A year is free with the device fwiw. I'm seeing more of people using Awesome Golf app with this launch monitor, so personally looking into that combo more
@jasonriccoboni5931 Unfortunately, that’s just where we are right now. None of these “affordable” mobile launch monitors come with pre-loaded software that doesn’t cost you extra money for a subscription. The MLM2Pro’s direct competitor, the Garmin r10, is the same way. Now their subscription may not be as expensive, but you still have to pay. I would imagine it’s the same thing with the more expensive $2k+ units, but since I’m not in that space, I don’t know. You don’t have to use the MLM2Pro with its own proprietary software. You can instead pair it with E6, or what seems to be the go to for most, Awesome Golf, but both of these will also cost money. Once my MLM2Pro free 1 year premium membership is up, I’ll likely move to Awesome Golf, as I like that you can pay month to month. Since I’m in NJ, and don’t have room to set this up indoors, I figured I would be using this about 7 months out of the year, @ $15/mo…$105…not bad IMO.
Great detailed video. So we need to purchase the Rapsodo plus pay $199 annual to use the software? Thanks Also where did you get your screen? Thanks again.
MLM = Mobile Launch Monitor. My Rapsodo came with a sleeve of those balls. (They're super pricey but I suppose you're not going to lose them like a ProV1)
It’s good with the rpt balls. It works fine with a free plugin on GsPro. The biggest drawbacks are the poor connection distance/lack of ability to hardwire to a device and short chipping is not great. For these reasons I’m gonna pay the extra 1k and subscription fees for the BLP.
The RPT ball provide highly accurate spin number side and back spin. I have tested my unit against Trackman 4 and I must say the spin numbers were only double-digit different than TM4. So I disagree with your comment that Mevo+ has one up on Rapsodo.
I’m pretty sure on indoor mode the Doppler radar isn’t reading your ball flight and with a lack of ball spots the camera isn’t getting accurate side spin info so your shots will be pretty straight even if your hooking or slicing it… that’s my understanding anyway
I have been using the Gen 1 for a year and live them. Im a 12.5 handicap and i wouldn't think about spending 200.00+ per wedge. I will definitely buy another set once they get back in stock
@@zimandtherocket definitely worth a try, as I am exploring buying the Rapsodo or the Garmin R10 for an outdoor practice pad (Spornia 8XL so I have some mobility for when winter hits)
