I like to find fun and interesting ways to explore science while trying to make you laugh. Some videos have been made with computer-generated faces and audio for comedic parody. These include NileRed, Mark Rober, and Breaking bad parodies. Hope you enjoy :)
should probably clarify 4:55 its not just tin literally any molten metal with the exception of mercury and gallium will do that if there is any moisture. that's a steam explosion.
Just because you can shoot it into your eye without harm doesn't mean its not toxic. The exact same thing can be done safely with pure mercury, in fact mercury is perfect safe to handle with bare hands, you can even ingest mercury without any problems occuring what so ever. However mercury is extremely toxic, inhaling mercury vapor, or ingesting water soluble mercury compounds can result in death, if your lucky that is because if it doesn't kill you it will cripple you.
So, does this mean gallium could theoretically be used as a weapon by terrorists to dissolve holes in a plane, causing rapid depressurization? I mean, it would probably be picked up by a metal detector, but interesting to think about.
