I definitely understand that. I eventually cut my straight ends. I had found someone that was willing to interlock it all the way down but the price was a tad bit high.
From a retired nappylocs wearer before you go to retie take 2 Tylenol and the morning after take 2 more or whichever pain reliever you take. Happy locs to you.
I am so grateful for your input. I am so ready to start my journey! I am trying to be patient and wait until September, but I'm ready to take these braids out and start my locs.
@MichealMyers-o3q thank you. I actually started my locs myself last Friday. I was so frustrated with these beauticians and got stood up, so I said, NO MORE! I'LL DO IT MYSELF!!! LOVING IT ALREADY!!
I agree with now wishing I had started with interlocking! I have braidlocs and I love the interlocked part and I have been discussing with my loctician ways in which I can maintain my grid, undo the braids and interlock by Dec. In regards to heat damage, when I was a loose natural, I did damage when I did silk presses myself. I never cut my hair. I reversed the damage by using bond conditioners (Olaplex). You may want to investigate that. My curls would come back after 2-3 treatments.
Congratulations on your progress! I’m planning to do a hybrid between Dr. Brooke Goldner’s hypernoursing protocol and Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Eat to Live plan. 🙏🏾
I thought I had fine hair starting out but she said I actually have medium density. That was my one big concern, thinking it was going to look scalpy. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t! I’m so in love Chile! 😅❤ Yours look awesome and I’m so glad you still love them. I try to talk everybody into getting them who expresses even the smallest smidge of interest. 😂
I have fine hair as well. I started with braids at the roots and twist at the end. I maintain with interlock. I have found myself braiding the loose ends, I'll see how the next 12 weeks transformation looks like!
@keeksdiary You may try adding a tiny knot at the end of your braid or a tiny dot of instant glue to keep the braided strands from loosing. Perhaps you can try these tests on two locs in inconspicuous places and watch how they turn out.
You look great! I'm 5 month's today. I've dealt with bunching more recently. I religiously braid and band. I've been told it because of my length. I see some budding and of course frizz. I'm just embracing every stage and letting my hair do what it do. Lol
New sub here....considering starting my journey. I've had three different consultations. I think I'm ready to make my decision. Date early September (around my birthday, the 8th). I am really excited. I got some hair for extensions, but I'm prepared for not using them, just in case.
Amen!!!! I trust Him! Yessss, I’ll be 45 in October God willing. I’m so blessed to have made it this far. I’m a new subscriber because I want to start my microloc journey soon, so I’m doing my research. And GIRL…I began graying in my early 30s and those hairs have a mind of their own. They are unruly and do what they want. I have so much gray hair now that I don’t even dye my hair anymore because it’s coming in FULL FORCE 😂. Plus I have a whole white patch in the middle of my head. Awesome video, thank you!!
Hello Keeks, may I ask why type of micro locs did you have installed ( med or small, was it braided or twisted) also, are you planning to have your ends completely loc'd or will you keep the ends curly? Also, did you stylist trim or cut your hair to add a shape?
@@pursediva They are small. I started with braids and twisted ends. I will eventually let them loc but I'm currently living the curly ends. I cut my hair in a bob before getting micros so I didn't need my ends trimmed.
