Always been into cars and my love for them isn't vanishing anytime soon. Join me in seeing the repairs, upgrades, and maintenance that I will be doing to my cars. Working on these money pits isn't always smooth, but it's a pleasure to be wrenching bolts, scraping my knuckles in the process and eventually go for a drive. Ultimately, I love what I do and I hope you enjoy the content and feel inspired to work and enjoy your constructed project!
The “pop-up” is the only thing I got correct😂. Thank you for enlightening me on what model that is. It definitely stood out and like I said, I may not know all of the models, but Porsches’ always captivate me🔥
Appreciate that you take the time to show us detail’s. Even f you don’t know what it is bc. This is how we learn👍. Owned 3 diff ludes back in the day👌🫡
You’re very welcome brother!💪🏽💪🏽 I don’t know all of the models nor all the parts, never claimed or ever will. I’m always learning and that’s the beauty in it. Thank you for tuning in and I appreciate the support. Hopefully you’ll tune in for future videos✊🏽
@@bwcp my 1st was an 89 red Si 5spd back in 1994, 2nd was a 93 Si VTEC 5 spd in 1997 then my 3rd and fav was 3rd gen Si 4WS All white with white OEM saw blade wheels. Fun fact no may which lude Honda gave you stock OEM Recaro’s👌
Didn’t need a single gimmick, or faked or forged personality to make something I was willing to not just set through but enjoyed the content. I miss H.I.N and Nopi events. Glad I kept and preserved practically every magazine I ever purchased. Oh and My forever favorite was MaX Power Magazine. That was the most fire tuner mag to me because it was just so different every time you looked in one your like where in the flying hell were all those different little and large pieces even coming from half the time. Japan gets all the love it deserves. But feels like a sin not acknowledging the UK side of Honda period.
Man It had been a minute since I last heard NOPI. H.I.N. is coming down to Socal in August and then November if not mistaken, so I'm looking forward to that! I'm happy to hear you have mags still in your possession. It is literally a time capsule to the past, one that won't come back by any means. Japan is always getting all the love, recognition, best motors and cars. Here and there have the U.S/U.K. gotten the larger end of the stick. Honda's worldwide and I know the EDM scene holds it down strong out there. Can't wait to visit the U.K. and see the Honda scene firsthand.
Most of those at that meet were prime examples, so I’d say north of 12-15k? It’ll vary big time and DEPENDS on multiple factors because different modifications require different parts and tons of labor in those builds. All depends too if the seller is tying to break even with their investment or make a big profit. But I assure you, it won’t be as cheap like other Hondas out there. At the end of the day with respect to resell, it's going to be worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I think personally, if you like the build, it's worth every penny. To be honest, I think it'll come out cheaper for you to purchase one that's already "done" rather than building one.
Great coverage. I love the detail you put into each car you checked out, Please get a wide angle lense so we can see more of the car at once than just zoomed in close shots.
Hey are you voice of the Instagram car post you know that one that goes like “ clean ass car all pitudo” or something like that cuz u sound like him bro. Anyways thanks for the content much appreciated!
HAVING THE 1999 ~ 2OOO [H]ONDA CIVIC SI WHEELS AS WELL SORRY YOU DID IT WRONG MAN IF YOU REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO EVEN A PLASTIC HUB CAP YOU SEE THE H LINES UP WITH THE BOTTOM OF THE H WITH THE AIR CAP STEAM VALVE PLUS THE RIGHT WAY TO POPING OF THE CENTER CAP IT WHEN YOU TAKE OFF A WHEEL AND WITH LIKE SOMETHING LIKE A SCREW DRIVER SIDE OF THE HANDLE WITH MAYBE A TOWEL ON IT'S HANDLE SIDE HIT IT AND POP THEM OUT FROM THE INSIDE TO THE FRONT OF THE WHEEL TRY AGAIN IF YOU REALLY WANNA GET IT RIGHT OR GOOGLE PICTURES LIKE I SAID ABOUT PLASTIC WHEEL HUB CAPS GOODLUCK ON NOT BREAKING THEM ✌🏼
The center caps that I was removing were ones from an Em2. I really couldn’t care for them so that’s why I went ballistic on removing them without any care. Definitely if I was taking off the Em1 center caps I would’ve been way more careful or done what you suggested by every means💪🏽 Nonetheless, I appreciate the advice and thanks for tuning in man👊🏽
Damn I'm finna check all my grounds now cus I have the same no crank no start on my Del sol. Shut off while I was driving and wouldn't start back up. Good looks bro

@@bwcp i had my white crx for 19 years but it was just sitting for like 10 years and now im back to the scene but alot had change i had a y8 v tec in it but im putting toguether my parts to go b20
I remember when I first got the car, I changed the tps and I imagine I got a code for it but can’t recall. You have a good point though, I just might check it out because even though I’m not getting a code, it just might be in. Just feels sluggish and anything as this point is a suspect.
I apologize for my multiple posts here. I thought I should share some of the things that I have done that has made my EM1 more reliable over the 320,000 miles. 1) I change the oil and filter every 5000 miles, using Royal Purple 5w/30 synthetic, substitute one quart with Lucas Oil Stabilizer, and K&N oil filter. 2) When starting the car for its first startup, I drive away after a minute or so of idling, but I keep the revs under 3500 until the temp gauge reaches normal operating temp. 3) When shifting gears, use a racer technique of rev matching BOTH downshifting as well as upshifting . Also, in stop and go traffic, don’t creep along by slipping the clutch. Instead, let a couple or more car lengths gap in front of you, so can fully let the cultch fully out, then fully in…..these two techniques allow me to easily get over 250,000 out of clutches. 4) I add 6 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil at every full tank of gas. 5) Every 30,000 miles I replace Spark plugs, fuel filter, and clean my K&N air filter. 6) Cam belt, tensioner, water pump, and valve adjustment every 100,000 miles or every 5 years. Doing the above tasks…my EM1 has never been rebuilt, doesn’t burn any oil between oil changes, and it idles so smooth that passengers often ask me if the engine is even running lol.
No need to apologize sir, your story is inspiring. I have heard of Royal purple and also Purol which I would consider premium oil given the price per quart. I similarly don’t rev up the motor high until the temp is at operating condition. Ever since I’ve gotten my Em1, I haven’t done a serious tune up and much needed refresh on the supporting engine accessories, so I think it’s time for that.
The clutch is about the only thing that I may find myself replacing every so often, given that I’ll abuse it hear and there. I bet your passengers are amazed at how smooth your Em1 runs😂 Nonetheless, TRULY IMPRESSIVE the amount of time, money, and longevity that your FBP Si has endured and with that being said, I’m 100% sure it’ll hit that 500k miles with no problem! Cheers Justin! Phenomenal Em1 🍻
I hope you don’t have too expensive wheels. If so, time to look for a new tire shop! If they know what they’re doing, your wheels should come out without a scratch, whether they’re reps or legit ones.
They’re still out there, just that some people are asking prices that will only bring the right buyer. I’ve seen multiple ones with a variety of specs, mileage, color, modifications etc etc. Finding a clean title one that’s been barely modified and well taken care of for a decent price will be hard.
I have a bit over 320,000 miles on my 2000 Civic Si EM1, and I’m the original owner, purchased it brand new in 2000 at Ocean Honda in Santa Cruz, CA. My Si is original flamenco black pearl, and no dents or dings anywhere. I added 17” Volk bronze TE37 wheels, and I have performed all of it’s services and repairs myself (I used to work as a BMW/Porsche/Mercedes technician for 13 years), so my Si has never been touched by another technician.
KUDOS Sir! Not only do you own a gem, but a time capsule, congrats. My respect to you for doing all the maintenance, repairs and keeping it mint condition as I imagine. I’m sure you have enjoyed ripping VTEC through the 17 or along PCH.
@@bwcp I love my EM1. I’m completely attached to it after owning it for the past 24 years. I definitely drove it “the proper way” on California HWY 9, HWY 35, and HWY 17….tires wouldn’t last long back then, lol. I’m also an owner of two Ducatis and one Bimota that I would also hustle down those highways on as well, and there were a number of times when I was in my EM1 where I’d pass sport bikes on those twisty highways, and the sport bikes couldn’t keep up. Of course in a straight line, the sport bikes would leave me in the dust, but if the road is twisty, a properly driven EM1 will hold its own.
Damn brother, you don’t know how much this means🫡 humbled truly. For myself, for the culture, for the homies, for Deadpool Z, I need and will bring that Z back. I kept it for a reason. Sticking to the vision and trusting the process.
Glad you have joined the beginning journey with me here on RU-vid bro, it’s team Honda/Nissan for now and whatever other projects may came down the line. Can’t thank you enough and anyone else that sees this in the future❤️🙏🏽
