@meguiars, you guys make great products but your social media presence needs major work. It's either seconds of a clips or 10 year old products you sold.

As with any product, longevity can vary quite a bit depending on a number of factors including the environment the vehicle is exposed to. That being said, for a typical daily driver we would recommend you wax at least 3-4 times per year.
Question- is it okay to apply Meg Ceramic Coating directly on top of Meg Ultimate Polish, or should the polish be removed with a surface prep first? In other words does Ultimate Polish inhibit bonding of Ceramic Coating? Thanks.
Keep in mind that after applying Ultimate Polish you will in theory have wiped nearly all of the product off. That being said, you could certainly use the Surface Prep which will only help but it is not mandatory.
My 2016 truck was repainted three years ago and the paint is in great shape with no swirls but just a couple of moderate scratches and no dents (knock wood). I spent four hours washing and claying, and am breaking this into a 2-3 day project. If I use compound to buff out those scratches, do I need to compound the entire vehicle before polishing and waxing? My challenge is the small time windows provided by Colorado's hot summer weather (with unforecasted light rain bursts in the afternoon), and the fact that my truck doesn't fit in my garage. Would greatly appreciate your advice!

Gents: Took delivery new 2024 Macan S two weeks ago. Used "Ultimate waterless wash & wax" last week, looks, feels really great. Having watched this video, tempted to buy "Ultimate Ceramic Coating'". Can I apply "Ultimate Ceramic Coating'" on top of the "Ultimate waterless wash & wax"? This will not impact the Macan S original paint from the factory in Germany? Please advise.
You would not want to put the Ultimate Ceramic Coating directly over the Wash & Wax but after several days and another good wash you might be back to a bare surface anyway. Here is a video that answers many frequently asked questions as well as discusses how best to apply our Ultimate Ceramic Coating... s.3m.com/86q3p2uy
Not sure which step/product you are referring to when you say "final polishing" but typically for application of a polish or wax with a good DA polisher we recommend about 3000-4000 opm (orbits per minute).
Meguiar's is hitting it out of the park for 2024 with the new AIO and M888 ceramic coating 👍👍. Keep it up 👍 I've been using McGuire's products for 40 years. It is awesome to see you keeping up or surpassing the competition !!
Thank you. I still cringe thinking of a college car wash. We had those kitchen sponges, and some of the other kids used the brillo pad side on some problem spots on the wheels and hood of a corvette. Wow! ...but I guess I need to stop using soft cotton towels as applicators. It would be great if you guys had an easy chart for aggressiveness or characteristics of your different waxing compounds. I came across this while looking for the difference between rubbing compound, polishing compound, nu finish, ultimate compound, cleaning wax, carnauba wax and hybrid ceramic prep pre-wax, with those last 4 all from Meguiar's. Sometimes more is better...but it helps to know the difference between all of them.
Okay, so it all began with my purchase of a 3100psi pressure washer, and now I've gone down the detailing rabbit hole. I bought your clay kit, Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish, and Gold Class Canuba Plus liquid wax. Not to mention a cordless orbital buffer/polisher. Once I'm done, what do I wash with for the next few weeks? Like I said, I've just purchased a pressure washer, so the first thing I went out and bought after that was a foam cannon and half a dozen jugs of Ultimate Wash and Wax. Will that be okay on top of the Gold Class wax protection?
How long until it’s cured enough to drive. I did the process and tented the front of vehicle with masking paper to avoid pollen bugs and dust how long until it is dry enough to drive?
It can take 24-48 hours to fully dry and 72 hours for a full cure. Driving would be fine as long as you can avoid getting it wet, washing it, or using other chemicals like a spray detailer on it.
@@meguiars … gladly I’ll share my experience and thoughts afterwards. Thank you for great products I’ve been using since the mid-1980’s and this informative video.
Leaves crazy amounts of streaks. Didnt realize it needed to be outta the sun. 1st time i ever encountered a soap that needed directions to be read. As for beading, we'll see when it rains. Smell was blehhh. Foam dissipates quickly.
Sorry to hear about your experience. Typically streaking is caused by not diluting properly but we appreciate your feedback on this new product. If there is anything we can do for you please feel free to reach out to our Solutions Hub via our website... s.3m.com/2jxwz912
hi, can i use this using the traditional method of using an applicator pad and working it on the paint then hand buffing it out with a microfiber cloth?
We really do not recommend that as it my be very difficult to spread and wipe off. You really the vehicle to be wet when used. If you prefer a more traditional wax application this product is also made in liquid form... s.3m.com/tzt1v48b
ok. would it be fine if i use the HBC liquid wax for initial layer of protection then using the HBC spray wax for succeeding layers of protection and for boosting hydrophobic properties?
Kudos to Meguiars I just bought a black car and it has some watermarks (limescale waters that dries out), by reading the comments here I now know it is the product I’m looking for to clear it and the fingerprints.
Can this product be stacked? Meaning can it be applied and then a second coat applied over the first? Any pros or cons to going this! If it’s able to be stacked what time frame between additional costs should be used? Thank you.
