Question for you. My tps was reading .43v closed and and i cant get it to go any higher. WOT its reading 3.93v.....do you think that little bit of a difference can cause some problems? Im trying to sort some idling issues. I have an S13 SR20det blocktop
There are a couple dealers that help with "JDM" parts and have a following for having inventory of the parts. The dealer I used was partsfornissans.com and they are local to AZ
Thank you for documenting the process. My IACV just went out last night and I was wondering how to get to it and find it. Sadly my SR20DET is in a sentra so the intake man is pointing to the firewall. SAD times. My symptom is 2-3k rpm idle and the car "acting like the gas pedal is being held" for lack of better words. Free rev matching and cruise control.
I didn’t know you could do a manual seatbelt swap I love and hate my automatic seatbelts since the driver side one on mine doesn’t work so I’ve been driving it with only a lap belt
It's your coolant lines bro. I did this on my S13 I brought over. The circuit you tested is the high idle or bump idle for AC/power steering. The coolant lines you didn't hook up makes the IACV think the car isn't warm so it stays open thus the high idle. Your ecu mainly controls fuel but there is idle settings you can mess with. Good luck homie! 🙌
You mentioned deleting a few thing on the intake manifold side. Usually when this happens idle is really off. I suggest keeping the OEM plumbing in tact. Also, try going through the FSM process for setting up your idle. I’ve had similar experiences with idle and timing. I followed the FSM and NOT Zilvia. Everything worked out perfectly.
Love this series! Just binge watched it yesterday along with the S14 refresh. Been having issues with my KA-T T25 misfiring and havent found the reason yet. Really debating just stripping it all like you did and replicating this setup. I have a fresh stock rebuilt KA, and also saw that yours blew at the end. Did you ever found the reason for it? I assume you never opened the engine and it was fully stock. I wonder if it was the age/condition or the setup itself that caused it, please lmk if you diagnosed the failure! Subscribed✅
Thank you for the support! Yes, that cause of failure was oiling issue due to not running heavy enough oil, overheating oil (no oil cooler). The engine probably would’ve been fine if I have some 15w40 oil in it and an oil cooler would’ve helped too. I talked about it a little in the track day video 👍🏻
The main benefit I saw was that it fits tighter to the core support because the brackets on it are made specifically for s14. I think the ISR one that is sold for s14 actually is the same as the s13 one with the brackets/mounting tabs
For now, yes. But I am going to install one. Ive been very indecisive on which one I want! I was thinking the new Greddy one or a Tial like I have on the IS. What's your choice of bov?
yooooooooooooooooooo, lowkey jealous that you have sourced silvia seatbelts, like you said it are the little things, I would love to have the bracket for the seatbelts haha I am also in the process of turning my manual windows to power windows because I am lazy and think every car needs power windows hahaha
I like ur videos. Glad u are active again. Ive tried to do same convertion on mine, the problem is that I need to get all the plastic, headliner and seatbelts and that way too expensive :c
Thanks for the support! Trying to balance getting video rolling and actually getting something done on the car too haha. Very true, the headliner is the big one because the size issue for shipping!
