Thanks! I bought the same kit on amazon and couldnt make sense of it. Same style pulley on the corollas too. My Litens pulley came with a 17mm hex so I just stuck it in a socket and blasted it off with the impact.
Thanks for the video. I got the removal kit but the 10mm piece wasn't fitting in completely. Spinning the pulley with a 17 mm impact didn't work because it just kept spinning. I solved the issue by placing a screwdriver in between alternator blades thus preventing it from spinning. It was on there tight and the impact banged for several seconds before the pulley came off. There is now a 1mm dent on the blade from the screwdriver, but that's well worth the result. Curiously, the new pulley has a wider hole and the 10mm tool from the kit fits great on it and I used it to tighten the new pulley.
I just applied this to my headlights, do anybody knows after the year how is the procedure to re apply it?? i mean just clean it with alcohol or it has to be sand it again?
The headlight coating product is crap. The PlastX, which should be used before this does the job, but the headlight coating will leave the plastic dull which exactly what you remove (among other things) with the PlastX. Therefore, protection comes at the price of having a non clear dull headlight. CRAP!!!!
This is also how you access the top nuts for the rear struts. I've got one in the shop right now that I have to finish when I go back in so I hope the shit snaps back together without issues lol crazy design.
I recently sanded my headlights with 400 wet then up to 1000 then up to 1500 then up to 2000 then up to 3000 all wet sanding; it helps the sand paper last longer. then I used Meguiar's 105 Ultra cut compound (stage 12) then up to Meguiar's 1 Medium cut cleaner (stage 7) and then finally Meguir's 205 Ultra Finish Polish (stage 4) using applying it with a cordless orbital polisher from Auto Zone PE ProElite using the orange 6 inch foam pad. I rinsed it out between stages, and my headlights are clear. It's the clear coat on the headlights that start to get rough and come off. I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 regular cab work truck, and they started clouding up on the top after 7 years but I didn't do anything about it until now, 12 years. Brian over on Paint Society done a set of headlights and cleaned up the lens by sanding it down then using Eastwood 2K clear coat. I haven't applied the clear coat yet. Because I'm wanting to use a Luxe light tint on my headlights instead to finish blacking out my truck, and the kit is only 34 dollars, about the same and the clear coat. The clear coat is a 2 part and will last for years instead of a few months to a year. Me, I want to add a little tint to my headlights so the tint is a better way to go for me. Matt over on Tint Studio recommended it to me today when he was doing a live stream, and I went on Amazon and found it. You can go light, medium or dark. I don't want to block the light of my lenses, so a light tint is good and it will protect my lens. You clean the surface and it stretches over the lens and sticks to it with nothing needed but a squeegee they supply in the kit. If you've sanded your headlights smooth like me and want a good tint, this may be an alternative to a clear coat, and Eastwood is an excellent choice for a clear coat to replace the old one you had to sand off. Hope this helps someone wanting to permanently restore their headlight lens.
I don't think anything can replace the factory "Whatever they do." Is it worth spending 19 dollars once per year vs 200 the replace the headlights? yeh, i think so.
You wouldn’t happen to know if this is approximately the same for 07 Honda Pilot? I’m guessing it is since they pretty much have the exact same everything else.
Yes but I'd be careful. The meguires coating itself will yellow and you pretty much have to sand it off and you will have trouble knowing where that ends and your factory coating begins. Due to that, I'd suggest a top quality ceramic coating rated for five years or more
i have Honda OD 2006 and my reverse start freaking out when i put gear basicly do nothing O have to get a lot of gas to start move, Also neutral work as D. I just put new Neutral Safety Swich but problem still. I didnt disconnect the batery during the work i did.Maybe i burn new NSS ? OR i have to reset computer?
@@scottlanier5133 Man this sucks. I just bought some to apply to brand new headlight lenses for my 3 Series BMW, and you got me afraid to use it for fear the product itself will yellow. I’m not using it now, and will just purchase new lenses when my new ones start to get cloudy. Thanks for what I believe to be a honest review. 👍🏽👊🏽💯
Just done mine an hr ago, all codes clear. Put some miles on it, smooth as a cat. I had codes p1717 and p0706 I believe. All pointing to this device. Next up transmission filter and fluids. 250k so far. Also mine is the 2007.
@@scottlanier5133 shit. Usually I would just use rattle can clear coat with good results that last about two years. Last time I used it, the clear cracked up and looked like a stained glass. Yeah I know, must have put it on too fast etc. Never had any problem in the past. I wanted to try something that might have a better humor about application.
Thank you for posting this video because I’m having the same issues with my Honda Odyssey. Just ordered the part and hopefully this will solve my problem. Thank you
Only a 1 year life for this coating? My headlights last one year without this coating. Waxing the plastic does nothing. It all depends on where you live and how the car is exposed to the weather.
