Loved the video...but for God's sake, please take your palm/fingers/hands off your reel when you are bringing the fish in! Dude, use your reel's drag as it was designed :)

Take some time to learn etiquette. Those fish need to stay in the water-this is especially true in mid July.

Thanks for the feedback, I promise I put maximum effort into keeping the fish healthy. This spot was tricky to get to the water due to the rocks and some wind. I appreciate the concern!

Dude solid video but you shouldn’t be flaming spots like this man, the fishing community needs to keep the good things good

I completely agree, the only reason I was comfortable saying where we were is because it is fairly remote and it is already a well known location.

What month did you go and what fly were they hitting?
@teddyf9438
@teddyf9438 2 года назад
this looks like early February, and my guess would be a big salmon fly with a salmon egg and 1/4lbs of shot as a dropper on 8x tippet. and a 1 weight rod.

It was mid-July and we were using size 16 caddis tied with dark brown deer hair with olive green bodies. I had originally tied them for or trip to upstate New York but they worked great here!

Lots of great memories on Slough Creek. How did you like that first half mile of the hike.

It wasn't nearly as bad as the hike back in my opinion

The Butte and Slough were open when we were there, the Yellowstone was the only one that was closed until then
