Mark Teach Tools aims to help sellers better run their businesses through software tools, spreadsheets, and other resources. Although the primary focus is on e-commerce marketplaces, such as eBay and Amazon, all sellers are welcome to benefit from the tools and tutorials that are provided on this channel.
I'm not an expert in that area at all. But from my experience it's the phone number that is really the thing. I have used the same address on different accounts after one was closed down on that same address. But if it is really the address that got banned then you probably need to use other addresses. You should check out Marc Augustine on RU-vid. He knows about working with a lot of accounts and all that and probably has some content on your question.
@@markteachsellers Thank you very much do you have any of your video in which i can find out how to monitor my items on ebay if any price changes or out of stock i know so i can put them out of stock
Wow this looks amazing but definitely has a bit of a learning curve since this is my 1st video I've ever seen of you discussing this robust spreadsheet. However, this looks awesome. Keep up the good work and I look forward to checking this out when I have a bit more down time and supporting your efforts! :)
Yeah, I changed the way it reads from the sheet from API to "manual "reading so I had to add the spreadsheet URL. I also changed a few other things I felt it needed. Thanks!
Great work Mark 👏 Do you think you can add stock qty column? if you have keepa extension, stock shows as "(revealed by ✜ Keepa)" or by using another extension: online seller addon you can see the stock of the buybox.
Yes, you will want to do that as often as possible. I feel that In any e-commerce business sellers need to do research or sourcing on a regular basis. I saw one guy on RU-vid who suggested going to rakuten and looking at all those deals for instance but obviously it takes a lot of time. But this will help make it somewhat faster and less painstaking.
@@markteachsellers what scrape solutions do you recommend , just using the free insta tool doesnt sound practical Wouldnt excel grap from html also break down due to site changes/ip limitations
@@markteachsellers no worries thank you for the insights i've deleted the last one myself , as i realized the answer ,keep up the great content man if there are any viewer feedback or surveys i would love to help
@@mohanadsaid-dg6oj Well if you get any tools from me on gumroad you can always leave some stars there and/or a comment. Thanks! I really appreciate that!
Someone had asked about limitations and there aren't actually any except that of time itself. So the automation pauses for about 5 seconds per product to ensure time to load data and keep a more natural browsing behavior. Therefore, it can do about 12 products per minute which equates to 720 per hour. It is automated but also manual at the same time so it will take considerable time to do thousands of products. However, depending on your planned use of the data waiting hours for thousands of results might still be acceptable and useful to you. But there is no limitation that I know of on how many times you can actually do this in a day.
Are there any limitations, such as a maximum of 100 requests per day? Additionally, if I want to retrieve only specific data from the page, how can I set it up?
There are no limitations since it just opens up products in the browser manually. It retrieves only the specific data it has been set up to retrieve at this point and just outputs it all to the Google sheet. From there you can decide which data to use. Also, I will be setting it to retrieve more data with time which is why I have it set as a "hosted workflow" where you access it and it updates remotely.
Hi Mark, I'm using Amazon Sourcer in version 1.7C and I can't find the action button to import and export the sku grid data. I only have the option to start searching for sources. Could you tell me how to do this in this version? thank you so much
Hi, Thanks for using this tool. I added custom menus. Actually, you can see them in this video at the top of the sheet. "SKUGRID IMPORT/EXPORT?FETCH" is the button with the menu options you seek.
@@markteachsellers Hello Mark. Thanks You very mucha for the reply. I wrote to your email and sent You some screenshots because those actions buttons dont appear in my sheet. I probably have to do something else and maybe You can help me. Thanks You so much!
Hello Mark, I hope you are well. I recently purchased the tool bundle for Amazon but am having trouble creating the copy. It doesn't give me access and it doesn't let me create it. Is it possible that I am doing something wrong? Thank you so much
Hello. Thanks for getting the bundle. Did you watch the instructions on how to open the drive folder, and make a copy of the Google sheet to your drive?
@@markteachsellers Yes, I have been using the tools for a long time and they are very useful to me, but currently it does not allow me to make the copy to my account. Could it be some Google restriction?
I'm not sure without actually seeing what you are experiencing. I will have to go through the process myself and see if there is anything different. By the way, are you trying to copy the whole folder or just 1 file at a time? You can open individual files in the folder and then copy them but not sure you can copy the whole folder at once. Just an idea but I don't know exactly what you are seeing. You can also email me at mrmark@markteachtools.net especially if you have a screenshot. I don't typically do support through RU-vid. Thanks!
Sorry for the delay. If you enter it as a formula it will refresh and when it does that refetch the price. But you can't have too many of these in a sheet because it will go over the Google sheets URL fetch limit. But I also have another solution called GETDATA that has a menu you can click to get the prices when you need them.
Hi. AutoDS is a good software that actually works. I mean that it does what it claims to do. It lists products very well, does monitoring, auto orders and shipment tracking for some suppliers etc. So as long as it works with that supplier I would say it is a good option. You just need to understand how to set your repricing wisely and consider the effects of profit vs. volume. Hope this helps.
if you're making $32,625 (after fees) and you're spending $29,363 on the products??, that means you're only getting $2.17 of profit per $25 item that is sold... you would definitely need to make those margins a lot bigger because the buy and sell prices are way too close to each other. so you would either need to sell the product at a higher price or buy the product for a cheaper price. also the average ROI's most people get on average is around 20% because no one is making money from buying something at $20 and selling it for $25.
Thanks for your comment. This is a popular software for Amazon to eBay dropshipping and so I went with the typical ROI of this model which is 10% due to high competition and the fact that the products are being bought at retail prices, not wholesale. While it is entirely possible to get 20% ROI on some orders in this model there is still the issue of volume. Higher ROI tends to lead to significantly less sales volume. And you can actually make a large absolute amount of money with low ROI if the salesvolume is high. But the target issue here in this video is how the software expense eats a significant portion of the profit. Hence, the question, is it worth it? I have left this question unanswered because I think it depends on the person.
@@markteachsellers "the software expense eats a significant portion of the profit" ya because you have a low ROI, even without the software you still have a very low ROI. you could change the price of the products that is being bought or sold by only a few dollars and your ROI would be drastically bigger. and theres plenty of things to increase your ROI and still have good sales volume like researching better prices from cheaper suppliers, addressing feedback from customers, how well you advertise and market your product, hiring more people to show off your product. ect... so the automation is definitely worth it but of course you would have to work around it like everything else. also i just did the math and if you were to buy a product at $15 instead of $20 and sell it for $25 and make 1,500 sales per month?, your ROI would jump from 10% to 30% and take home around $10K profit instead of $3K, just from that $5 difference... but of course if you dont want to work around it or change anything about your product and not do any research then auto DS isnt worth it like how you explained.
@@Sswervyy So I agree and I know what you mean because I had reached good profits using Auto DS back in 2019. I'm well aware of all the methods of sourcing products from obscure suppliers etc. and even built automated Google sheets to help snipe products. But this video is meant also for those who are just starting out possibly with smaller accounts. And on eBay it is more difficult to demand high profit and get volume simulatenously on a newer account without history and feedback. And a few dollars increase in price will drop volume tremendously especially on new accounts. I have seen that raising prices by just 50 cents can completely reduce sales on a product because it is just that competitive today. And we also have to consider the desired time/money investment of the seller for doing research, hiring people, marketing etc. However, I'm also a coder so I have been able to replicate some of the functionality of AutoDS without the expenses. I dropship 1,000s of listings while using only the listing feature of AutoDS although I can also list without it. I do the monitoring with Google sheets driven by apps script and use browser automation to help reduce the manual labor on orders. I don't do detailed research nowadays and some orders do have higher ROIs at/above 20% while many are lower down to 10% or even lower but all I care about is the net profit. These days if I can earn the profit with less time, less expense and less work then that's my main goal. The software is great in terms of functionality but might not be as necessary (in it's totality) as most of us think it is. I plan to release some spreadsheets/systems/tutorials to help others see how they can dropship without so much expense.
I've been following and commenting for years always awesome videos you give us. Would you know how to scrape bestsellers from wholesale suppliers not only amazon or walmart?
Thank you for this. It's awesome!! Just wondering once you getprice, if it's possible to automatically store the current value of the price in a cell so for example the next day when it gets the price you can compare if the prices have changed? Sorry I'm new to sheets.
Hello, thank you for that. Well yes, it is entirely possible using coding on apps script. You would write a short script to copy the cell with the price and paste it to another cell in another column. The next day you would see the one that was copied yesterday plus today's new price. This way you would know if it changed and how much. So its not actually a basic thing for someone new to sheets but it is actually simple for a coder. But generally we don't need to do this because we're mostly concerned with the update on the price right now as it affects other things today. But this is something that might be needed in some situations. Make sure you see my "getdata" function as well. And just follow me in general. Thanks.
Is this the getprice function? I have replaced it with "getdata" but there is some possibility could happen and I would have to write code into the function to handle this particular case with those suppliers. You can always email me and tell me which suppliers do this. But also I suggest starting to use "getdata" which has more potential for extracting different types of data.
Great video, can you please also take a look here and give some advice? They also have an add-on for tracking packages in google sheets: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LU3-X-4NVzM.html
This looks great Mark. Well done! There is so much going on with that sheet that the format is hurting my eyes though man! Can I format it? Also, could you tell me how long this took you to create so I don't offer too little for the sheet. Thanks Mark and best of luck.
Hello, your photo history from where? But in general there is usually some way to pull things into Google sheets but it is just a matter of how and at what cost. If it requires a paid API service then it will cost money to do it or maybe there's already an add-on that does it, which may also charge for usage credits. Or in some cases with the right code it can be done at no cost. It all depends.
