Why is making weapons appear on you're back so complicated? I didn't have to do anything nearly as complex as this with any other mod. I'm not trying to discredit you @Brian David I just can't wrap my head around it. I tried installing "Immersive Equipment Displays" but it was so buggy and the menu was impossible to use, and sometimes it didn't work at all. Can someone please explain why all this bullshit is necessary? I'm genuinely curious.
Just wanted to add, seeing a lot of people saying this broke their game or didn't work for them... Follow instructions folks. Though I did just downgrade back to 1.6.640.0 this absolutely worked for me without a hitch, and I suspect it will do so with the most up to date version of the game as well. Keep in mind with directories you add manually every little letter in the name matters. If you follow this step by step correctly and it doesn't work, it has to be some other mod, or you didn't handle the conflicts correctly in your mod manager. This works 100% 5/24/2024.
Excellent tutorial, excellent mod, but I'm really, truly here to compliment your voice. Very cute/soothing, no homo I swear. I have a LOT of mods, took me forever, so I just kept replaying this while I waited for various scripts to finish and such. Very relaxing. I nearly forgot the stress of fearing that I'm probably breaking my game. (Through my own incompetence.) Cheers.
this is such a comprehensive tutorial and could be followed with some understanding of PC terms, but i wish bethesda just pick up the slack and make actual weapons appear on the character when it's favorited instead of equipped for the next TES6. Yes, it probably will make us look like crazed madman with 2 swords, 2 daggers, a bow, and a shield, but isn't that what we are in the game?
I dont understand why I have to do anything other than download and install through Vortex. I have no idea wtf any of this means. I downloaded the Allgud xedit scripts using Vortex and now this is telling me I have to manually go through all this nonsense. I go to the files and there's no xEdit application to run anything. So wtf? I checked the file through Vortex and manually downloaded the same thing 7zipped it and still no application to run xEdit.
DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUIDE, AND DO NOT INSTALL THIS MOD. Dont get me wrong, the mod works, but followed exsactly how it was shown and it wrecked my skyrim, all my other mods dont work anymore even when reinstalling them, and when i disable them, the game crashes. This absolutelly breaks my hearth and i think im gonna have to reinstall skyrim from scratch, all mods included, from which i had 129 of them. You all have been warned.
This tutorial does not work, I followed it to the letter and when I finished I decided to go play but to my surprise the game does not go beyond the home screen. You get to the menu and leave... don't apply the tutorial, the same thing will happen to you. I deactivated the folder where you save the meshes and it still remained the same
I can't find the ALLGUD weapon script in Xedit. I know the mod semi works because i've got it in MCM in game and im currently using the misc items on my char- followed the video up to running the script but it's not showing up. Can anyone help pls?
Hate to be the guy who posts a random compaint, but I've followed the tutorial I hope correctly, run the patcher and generated the meshes, but my made patch seems to be overriding my skeleton plugin (XPMSE) and I can't alter weapon positions, but the mod seems to work. Anybody experience the same?
i'm not sure why, but after my skeleton patcher i'm getting the following error. WARNING! The Output path does not end with the normal folders for character meshes. Please move patched skeleton files to the correct folder after the patcher has finished. Failure to do so will result in weapons appearing underneath the feet. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I have followed the instructions, and this is my output path..... C:\Games (C)\UltSky\content\mods\AllGUD Meshes\meshes\actor\character Does anyone have any idea? I'm getting the weapons under my feet bug.

How do you use the skeleton patcher if SSE Edit doesn't let you select nothing? There's no space on my screen to right click the left window without clicking on a mod.

How do I go about right clicking on an empty space to run the Skeleton Patcher if the plugins fill the entire plugin list? Or do I just right click on any plugin and run the Skeleton Patcher?
