I'm doing stuff all around first-person shooters back from the glory ages - the 90s - and modern retro fps. Playthroughs, guides for achievements, secrets and so on I will do in English. If there is any "Find All Secret" trophy or something like that for a new retro fps - the chances are pretty great you will get a video guide for it here very fast. In the case I'll do reviews, retroperspectives and so on in the future - I will probably doing this in German ... so do not wonder if you're not a native-german speaker what this freak is babbling such strange words. It's nothing occult or anything.
You can also follow me on my curator page on Steam. It's in German but you probably won't find a more complete list of 90s classic, oldschool and retro first-person shooters there so it might help you, too to find new titles : store.steampowered.com/curator/38368451/
I had some troubles when playing this game. For example, the dark tones of the map made me feel disoriented when walking. However, I really like the theme and soundtrack of this game. In the end, I insisted on playing this game. Thank you for your video guide.
*Ramses Quotes* "Your fearlessness as a warrior provides hope for this dying land and your quest for peace will bring you just rewards." "A deep cavity has been excavated in the south where there is lore of a fierce weapon that engulfs it's victims in a breath of fire." "Go there now and harness this power."
Frankly, this episode caused my love for the game to decrease. It heavily uses both metal robots and crafting, which is what I dislike most in a game, and it seemed like a complete waste of time to me...
I see that you used the HD texture pack. I wonder, with NewDark, is it possible to get HD guard models? I mean not only improved textures but also higher-detail models? The thing that always bugged me about the OG was its lack of polygons. I was like 1024 max displayable polys? Even one more, and the game would crash? I seem to remember something like that. Even back then, that was bottom of the barrel.
Hey, you still around? I hope you read this. I've only got the GOG Collection of RR, and I'm wondering what is the best way to play it ported. You've used RedNukem, but is it any better than eRedneck/eRampage? Can you please help me out setting it up?! :D
I think the best way to play Chasm is by downloading the portable version on ModDB, a modification of the original DOS game that makes it run better on modern systems. PanzerChasm gameplay is totally messed up, and some sounds and effects are missing. The remaster fixes some of these problems, but not all of them, and it doesn't look as graphically consistent as the original.
