Si je comprends bien, Laurent remplace avec sa main gauche les parties de basse de Stephane, un peu comme les doors qui n'avaient pas de bassiste sur scène?
One of the baddest, most creative, and groundbreaking bands in music history! These cats The SPECIALS are still influencing kids in the 21st century over forty years later. Innovative and timeless! RIP John Bradbury and Terry Hall. We will miss you both.
Taxi-Girl, un groupe français génial qui a explosé trop rapidement. Dommage qu'ils aient viré leur bassiste car il manque ici un petit quelque chose, malgré la virtuosité de Laurent.
Great piece of history. of punk rock. I saw Sex Pistols less than two years after this gig, at a Swedish pub in Helsingborg Sweden. Johnny Ramones pal Thunders on guitar.
These cats influenced me and my frat bruthas in FISHBONE back in the early 1980s and left a lasting impression on us that will last the rest of our lives! They had amazing fuckin' energy! RIP Terry Hall and John Bradbury.
Being an addict myself I’m pretty confident to say Joey wasnt the drug addict some people think he was. He wor sunglasses and his hair to cover his face because he shy and picked on his whole life, I mean his first group he was singing with SNIPER fired him because he was too ugly to be the front guy for the band they said, What a mistake they made, then he ended up being a ramone but anyways I’m sure as rock and roller he partied it up but he wasn’t a stone cold junky he was a smart guy just very shy, he invested in stocks and was good with Money. I could be wrong but I don’t think he was a hardcore partier.
",,,,,,,,,,,,now there's compromise" . The life of the addict in a nutshell,,,,,,,,don't bring Harry, I don't need him around. That solo from Hugh is one of his finest!.
What a band. I grew up with punk rock in the 70's and 80's. My wife hears the radio version of this and asks....this is punk rock?? She equates punk with Orange County punk rock. I have to explain CB/GB and the Bowery...the time of Pink Floyd and elaborate songs vs the warped DooWop 2 min frantic songs of the Ramones. The look, the sound, the tounge in cheek...the DooWop at warp speed. If anyone has played guitar...Look at the double head...double cab...full stack Marshalls. The sound of that is so intense you might feel like you might die....or certainly have permanent damage from the sound pressures. I have played small clubs with a 50w Marshall head and a 4x12 and people were plugging their ears and I saw one crying. It is intense and frantic. The Ramones are the real deal and more of these live vids should be posted if they are out there. Great band, I love them so.
I saw the 2Tone Tour (Specials, Madness and the Selecter) at Tiffany’s, Sauchiehall St, Glasgow in 1979. Best gig I’ve ever attended- The Specials were electric (as can be seen here).
Dude! I was talking to my friend about this just last night! One of the toughest riffs that doesn’t get a lot of recognition. Would def put it up there with “Penetration” by the Stooges and “Stranglehold” by Nuge.
