Another gem. I don't care what anyone says, you couldn't catch a nicer fish anywhere in the world. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'll take your word for it Col, can't see much.😂 Dry fly in the dark...how do you see the takes? Or do you wait for a pull? John.

Was too dark to film...but once I got it under control I switched the camera on as it was a good fish. I could see it rising in the moonlight.

Absolutely fantastic, you’ve captured the essence of the DIY adventure! I’ve done the same road trip a few times from the UK too, about ten years ago. Recognise the big shingle bar and have an idea on the other locations. Kitimat and Lakelse rivers both great for Autumn Coho, a reasonable drive from Terrace. A ton of bears though and mainly grizzlies, which I’ll never really get comfortable with 😱 I last went about 2018 and the locals were very negative about the steelhead runs. I guess their idea of crap and ours are different hey. Great to see you getting fish. Tempted to go back!

fish are getting coloured now - how long do you think this fish has been in the river?
@Col563

The fish is a female and they don't colour up like the male fish, but that fish has been in the river a while.

Are you fishing in some unique part of Scotland that has its own climate?! That looks like a small spate river in spate and I’ve not seen my local river rise an inch in months. We’ll done…nice catch 🎣
