Artificial intelligence could be one of humanity's most useful inventions. Google DeepMind aims to build advanced AI to expand our knowledge and find new answers. By solving this one thing, we believe we could help people solve thousands of problems.
We’re a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority.
We have a track record of breakthroughs in fundamental AI research, published in journals like Nature, Science, and more. Our programs have learned to diagnose eye diseases as effectively as the world’s top doctors, to save 30% of the energy used to keep data centres cool, and to predict the complex 3D shapes of proteins - which could one day transform how drugs are invented.
The wolf in sheep's clothing!! Will AI help to keep chemicals and poisonous substances out of my food, water, car........... No Will it reduce greed, corruption in politics and corporations. No Will it improve democracy and keep totalitarianism at bay? Definitely not At the end it will benefit the ones on top, facilitating the same status quo, just more efficiently and a touch of cruelty. Them soft ware geeks like Zuckerberg are so limited in their vision for potential shortcomings. Or maybe they just pretend to be. Rite
I think the difference between humans and the AI's way of thinking is humans have a tendency to want to win by a lot of points but the AI knows that it can win the game just buy winning a few points more. This kind of precise calculation is very hard for humans. We can probably do it once or twice but not in the long run.
This documentary makes it such a big deal. Is it really hard to swallow that a large number of smart researchers working day and night cannot develop a program to beat a single human?
2:54 I find it hard to believe the devs did not know that strategy I glommed on to it after playing a couple of times as a kid I thought everyone knew that, it just seemed obvious to me Anyone else? 👇
I feel so bad for Fan Hui. Imagine losing to the most advanced Go supercomputer and being called an amateur by people who couldn't beat a 1980s calculator.
This is a staged documentary... It has been shown as if alphago can error in some situation.. but it's staging.. alphago would defeat Lee seedol everytime, just because it's human vs machine, it's shown as if human triumphed over AI .. but that's just for funding and not to scare humans... Alphago would and could defeat Lee seedol 1000000000-0
This is one of the racist documentaries ever. In this documentary, the brown engineer/scientist from sri lanka or india has been continuously ignored in all the footages and korean newspaper clippings shown. It is very clear.
la bellezza e la profondità di questo video. dovreste usarlo come materiale di apprendimento, in quattro minuti spiega l'AI meglio di un corso di due ore! much 🖤, Hassabis and all ... grazie!
It’s funny these engineers were thinking AlphaGo made mistake after move 78. AlphaGo simply could not calculate winning situation after move 78 and tried to build new game. This is not a mistake. If it was a human Go player, he or she would have play normal and waited Lee to make mistake. However, AlphaGo or AI cannot understand concept of mistake that human make. Because AI always generates the right and best answer of situation and cannot expect its opponent will make mistake.
GOd its been a while since I watched something like this, the documentary was too good, Greg Kohs the director nailed it, i thought he should be credited for the amazing piece of work, ALpha GO team and Lee nailed it too ofcc.
as a human I felt sad at loss. It doesn't matter AlphaGo is created by Humans or not, it is irrelevant. Tanks are also created by humans, so should it beat human?
