Hammering against the thrust bearing? That scares me. I would have made that tool. Then obtain three 7/16-20 threaded studs that are 2 to 3 inches longer than the PVC. We then screw those studs into the crank in a triangular pattern using double nut method until they don't turn any further. Remove the nuts. Then apply a harmonic balancer puller into the studs. Hand tighten three 7/16-20 nuts and adequate washers over the balancer. Then tighten each nut 1/4 turn in order until they will no longer tighten Remove the nuts, puller and PVC. Then use the double nut method, remove the studs. No banging. No fear of damaging the thrust bearing. I'm sure what you did is fine. I wouldn't have the guts.
I have been wondering why too much dust came out of the tank when the tank got wet. I think before you filled the tank with the cleaner or toilet cleaner, you had to wait for the tank to be dry. Could you tell me the full name of the toilet cleaner? thanks.
You will need to search that to match the wheels you want to install. Find the size of your dodge hub center then the size of the wheels internal opening.
My R headlight went, is not the bulb. Fuse pops with or without bulb being connected. Can it be the wiring harness n module on the headlight assembly? Hid
Would you recommend changing the rear and front housings for billet aluminium parts? With the original dual plunger 78°C thermostat? It's €356 though. It's for longevity sake. Or is the fiberglass-plastic one alright for day to day use? Original, front housing with thermostat €106. Overpriced tbh.
Hello, my car has this problem: the coolant gauge and fuel level no longer show and the fan does not turn on, and the fan only turns on when the air conditioner is turned on. Can you help somehow, maybe someone had such a problem. Thank you
@brianwillson3693 4 minutes ago My 1997 GMC 1500 truck with a 5.7 liter vortec engine with a 4l60e transmission. My trans was rebuilt 12 years ago & a trans go shift kit with corvette servo.Note my filter & fluid has not been changed since.Last week while driving my truck just felt like it went in neutral.I managed to pull in a gas station & added a quart of tranny fluid.I about a 1 mile managed to drive home but my rpm's were kinda high ,but made it to my apartment .Now when starting when I put it in gear when I give it gas it tries to go forward and backwards.do you think a change of fluid and filter will help? The tranny has not made any noises, but found tranny fluid under truck leaks under truck in the last couple of weeks.Any advice you could give would be appreciated.
Nice work! With those forearms, I’d guess it’s a breeze for you to issue a tightly-controlled, ribbon of oil, with one-hand into the car, from a 72 quart jug, while with the other hand is thumb-wrestling Chuck Norris for a month (without food or air ). -“hee hee, yeah, and but like in the rain at the same time too also, cuz it’s raining on them two also (and the massive forearms as well…”)
Hopefully you see this. I just swapped the grill on my 23 Daytona. But now front makes a tinny noise when I push on the bumper. I think I figured out the issue. Can you tell me, when reinstalling the bumper, does the absorber tabs need to go in the slots on the front beam? Looking through the lower, it looks like the tabs went around the beam and are now sitting under it. Thanks
When I put new pads on, I put that lube they come with, on the back side of the pad. Question though, do you not have to bleed the line when putting new pads/rotors on ?
The year the engine was built I believe, they switched to one piece around 1986. But the best way is probably just to check if you're right around that year
after using these brake pads for a while how would you say they preformed, compared to OEM, and about how much "life" do you still have on the pad until the sensor hits? A ruff guesstimate is fine. :) thanks in advanced.
They are excellent! Biggest thing is the dust is night and day, so much less. Also quieter, but they outlasted the stock ones by 3x at least. We actually have another video on the channel about those brake pads specifically
@@VeryGoodGarage thank you so much it's really hard to find reviews of pads and rotors most of it is just installation guides which are great but a review is pretty hard to find, speaking of which I have stock rotors, what did you swap your's out with? is it just the outer portion of the rotor that someone can replace and is that more cost effective or do I need to replace both pieces of the 2 OEM rotors. Regardless, thank you so much for your info my first time owning a v8 scat and I'm still learning :).
It's a maxjax! And yes it's fantastic, definitely recommend. Makes basic stuff like this or oil changes extremely easy. Just make sure you're concrete is thick enough and strong enough first, and watch a couple of installs before you start. The instructions are good as well, and include things like the concrete requirements. My garage is 9ft tall, and I can max out the lift with the Charger which goes up about 4 ft
These starters are not just simply bolt on, in most cases you have to shim them and in some cases milling the base to achieve the right tolerances. You will also have to make or buy a diode wire, if you are using a points ignition, this is an extra cost and not supplied. I used this starter on my 74 corvette and it was a pain in the butt to get it working right. For me, it was just not worth it, for what they are charging for these..... everything should be included.
That play in the crank would that cause a serpentine/pulley to slap/tick on a 350 vortec? I’m planning to replace my harmonic balancer but my truck is at 268k miles and still purrs. Just didn’t wanna go through with it if I just need to go ahead and do a full engine rebuild lol
