The 77-78 season was my favorite. My favorite Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool sides. English football was awesome back then, for that whole season. Then it just went downhill. Those teams lost their sense of pride.
ITV 1986 was the best ever TV theme. So good they kept it for iive match coverage and then used it for the last couple of years of the Saturday lunchtime Saint and Greavesiew show before the Premiier League came and changed everything.
Have great memories of this tournament at Wembley Arena as a kid. Bring it back as a futsal competition. One night in the school holidays at the 02/Excel. All the London clubs. Players might enjoy it too.
