Amazing stuff Sam! I purchased a few of your libraries over the weekend and am having tonnes of fun exploring through them with Mirage. What would you say are your biggest influences when it comes to the sounds you create? Are there any particular soundtracks that come to mind? I personally get a lot of Silent Hill vibes from some of these sounds. Cheers!
Thanks! Erick was the mastermind behind this particular library so I can't say for sure the influences are for this. I agree there is a Silent Hill style though. In general, its film/TV soundtracks and ambient drone music that inspires the libraries. Interstellar, Hinterland by John Hardy, Cryo Chamber - just a few off the top of my head.
Thanks for the comment! It's very interesting to hear what others say about the sounds. I really appreciate the insight. My general approach is usually to find a unique or experimental approach to creating sounds. So perhaps it's coincidental that it ended up sounding like it was directly influenced by something (and perhaps it was subconscious? lol). In the case of Deep Conjuring, I put organic (flutes, harps, guitar, etc) and digital sounds through convolution reverb and manually manipulated certain parameters - recording the live results as I'm manipulating it. The general result was a strange, modulated, chorus-like doubling of the sound, which generally seemed to add more emotion, and sometimes "spookiness" to the sound. I first tried this experiment all the way back in 2016 and then recently updated it with a Kontakt version - Deep Conjuring II: Specters, and then the version for Mirage. Was a pleasure to work on, and I think both versions brought out a different aspect of the source material.
BE HONEST AND SAY IT IS $444 not $40 WHEN IT REQUIRES THE “FULL” KONTAKT (ie a kontakt player with minor changes NOONE who isn’t very rich would waste $400 on)

Perfect introduction and voice speaking. I've seen we have 3 layers. I'm interested in purchasing two of your libraries (Terracotta and Slow): in Mirage, will I be able to build a preset mixing layers from both libraries? (I mean, 1st layer from Terracotta, 2nd layer from Slow..) This would push everybody to get more libraries..
FrozenPlain always deliver amazing tools for ambiances/drone and even other purposes (like with the really cool Music Box Suite) The sound demos are absolutely fantastic! Mirage is an amazing engine Can't wait to get this new gem and play with it Excellent work as usual, Sam :)
I'm trying to install your free Music Box suite but every time I try and install the Mirage Installer(v1.06) I get an error message:''You do not have any mirage products in your account''. How do I fix this please?
I love this! Love what you are doing. You are creating some wonderful synths! SO well done! And thank you so much for not making them for Kontakt but rather having your own sound engine. I don't own Kontakt and doubt that I ever will. It's way too expensive and restrictive. I've not purchased any of your synths yet but am very much looking forward to the time when I am able to do so.
