I don't understand Where are the police They should have the police there to block of the road because that is a huge fire and people can get hurt and the building can BOOM BOOM and then people will be hurt and the other police or the goverment can get the police and then they have to pay a lot. NY handles things differently than you might expect. It is rare in these fire videos that a major street like Houston is shut down. They tend to do it their way their death by fire numbers says it all. NYC has 35k police and 10k firefighters and 3 k EMS. they do not need to pay a lot they have some like a 4 or 5 billion budget for police.

No slobs, all have full gear on and use it, even the drivers, command staff has real command vehicles and track and strategize. Gear not just on0, but buttoned up, everyone in good physical shape, same gear, ONe traditional thing there, they believe that water should go on fire. Old school. You want older school - look at a San fran fire video,. Wood ladders, but for a lot of unique reasons like interiors that are 100 feet tall in structures. Radio traffic when heard is emotional, conversational, wordy, unclear and sloppy. Listen to a LAFD radio audio. As Good as an air traffic controller. You do not apply water from the outside when there is an attack going on on the inside which you do not see in the video, and outside attack can hurt FF on the inside it has to be coordinated.

Load the roof with FFers on the downwind side right into the horizontally wind blown flames and smoke when there are two ladders set up on the upwind side? The tower guns, upwind could have knocked this out and the men could have gone up to mop up. No risk of running out of air in that thick black smoke and the only escape they know of is the ladder they came up because you can't see anything else, but it's kinda hard to find the ladder cause they can't see! But, it's NY so I guess they know what their doing.
I was joking. I Know, they don't know what they're doing. There are a countless number of videos that show they can't get the job done. A Name or bunch or letters doesn't make a fire department. You can worship blindly but I want to see a good performance.
Looks to me like most went up a stairwell and probably hooked up to a standpipe. They were up wind attacking from the "D" side of the roof with wind blowing to b-c sides. They were aggressive but still safe. I was wondering why no water from the ladders but then saw the smoke change then some water spray over the sides. I'd say a job well done.
Based on whose assessment your, look as the deaths by fire. If you think they are bad look at the videos of the massive fire in houston where the captain makes excuses of too many fires and just taking a defensive posture and that is the nations 4th largest city. There are more visible truck and equipment here than in the Houston fire.
Is it too much to hope for, that the cops shut the road to traffic to enable motorists to be safe and give the firefighters room to work ? It is standard practise in Britain.
Close what raod? there aer parked firetrucks and police cars in the travel lanes, some traffic on the farthest lane on the divided road on the other side is going thru, so what?
