Hey, do you know where you bought the new Part, and what that did cost you at the moment? I broke mine and already Dissassembled it after your instructions, thanks for that!
hope you see this, but lighting hit close to my house not long ago and many electronics were affected, among those my Alienware monitor. the weird thing is that it still powers on, it just doesn't detect any HDMI or DP connected to it. would that be a part I can replace? how can I troubleshoot it?
@@lenycomltd1442 hey! Yes I have another monitor and another PC the outcome was unfortunately the same. I opened the monitor to check if I could visually spot any sign of damage but was unable to just see it.
@@lenycomltd1442 nope, and there is not a single led turned on, power button, or Alienware head in the back all off. the only thing that turns on is the panel, which says there is nothing pluggled in the back and turns off again
@@killsnthrills187 It has a line of dead pixels about 2 cm long and 3 more dead pixels at the bottom. The screen was still usable but 3 weeks later I bought a second-hand AW2720HF monitor in perfect condition for £220. About £50 more than I paid for the screen itself.
@@lenycomltd1442 where can i order it from i had warranty on mine and best buy didnt wanna swap a new one for me so i need to replace donyou have a link where to order please 🙏🏼
If I could buy a new motherboard or gpu I would buy one, that's why I think the Alpha is a waste of money, cause if the motherboard goes bad, or the gpu goes bad, the only thing you could do is throw it away, an there gots your $600 dollars, for that matter I find steam machines like the Syber Vapor a lot better, cause they're fully upgradable. And it's a dam shame cause I love to see the alpha most, but I had to choose otherwise.
LenycoM LTD How about putting a new board in the case? Surely we have one that we can put in there. I know we'd have to get DDR4 instead of 3. Skylake or Kabylake. I'm expecting some relies everyone.
