Most importantly, it's time to upgrade from one day of democracy every X years, to genuine real-time democracy, and start making intelligent governance decisions. For the long term. #Sortition #CitizensAssemblies
I was so confused when I saw this come up in my feed, because it’s clearly opposed to the nuclear energy “policy” but I thought it said “Australian Conservative Foundation” 😂
It is sad to see grown adults participating in such ideology-fuelled misrepresentation. History will not be kind to you and neither will be the voting public, who are not fools. If we want growth in this country, we need access to reliable and affordable energy - lots of it. Renewables can be part of this but they can't possibly support our total needs. Just have a look at Germany/France. To write nuclear off will likely prove to be a big mistake. At the very least it needs to be considered carefully, particularly given that modern nucelar tech has come a long way. It may prove to be the most significant contributor to meeting low emissions targets and saving our planet! Isn't that what you're supposed to be about?
Nuclear is TOXIC, it is a political red-herring, acting as a distraction to the goal of renewable energy, it will take FAR TOO LONG, and it will tie up Australians in decades of debt with no guarantee of cheaper energy compared to an investment over half that time in renewables.
What utter garbage, people are quick to point out previous failures in the nuclear industry but slow to point out its successes. Nothing more than scaremongering designed to appeal to the uneducated masses.
Come on now Aussies, the world wide green movement states that humans can eat as many insects as they want. No need to consume carrots, potatoes, beans, apples, etc. . . Bugs are the futures. Vegemite will soon be referred to as Bugemite, and shrimp on the barbie will be known as Roaches on the barbie. Yummy . . . . .
❤ I love infrared film & happen to have a great eye for it ('Am saying b/c I look blind, but have great night vision & excellent near-sighted vision... something you might want in a creative application; also am too far away/on another continent ) Congrats on your new acquisition, I wish to you the capacities of use are used to the fullest, and that it proves the end-result benevolence to your organization's mission !
Hah, this is probably one of my favourite ads ever! The way the Opera House (an iconic thing of Australia) being destroyed, is the exact same as the wildlife in Australia (also a very iconic thing of Australia) being destroyed. I could have written this comment better but I don't really know how else I'd say it
That is interesting. The name problems (coincidence, opposites, divergences and coalescences, etc) are strange. Here in California, there is a smaller, broad local street with the name [of the company]. I only know there have been quandries and qualms about a local quarry nearby to there, also. (That's not all, occurrence like historic house buildings that kept ground also have been destructed, moved, neglected, etc). In respecting privacies, I think social networking may need be for regard of occurrences, but I am questioning if digital modalities are the better way ?
How did the world survive for hundreds of thousands of years when massive herds of bison, wildebeests, goats, sheep and other ruminants terrorised the atmosphere?
