Please support your favourite artists by buying their books! The reason I made this channel was because I found it so helpful to watch videos like these of others reviewing and previewing books that I was interested in buying myself or as a means of discovering new ones!
ohhhh Rick Remender also wrote Tokyo ghost in which I loved, artist was Sean Murphy. This book I HAVE to get....Looks amazing, and the fact its hard cover...Awesome
@@LTartworkx it’s excellent. Tocchini is one of the best artists in the industry - fucking amazing! The story is really, really good in this one too. I really love this book. Also worth checking out the incredible series, Low, also by Greg and Rick 👍🏽
@@dariomartinez7120 awesome! Yeah, I wasn’t sure how well the cinematic quality of this book would shine through in video. It’s really something special!
Looks like it should be available on Amazon. Otherwise, I got my copy from his publisher: en.ominikyediciones.net/product-page/artbook-philtomato-sensual-flow-promo-lanzamiento
I found this piece in a library, close to 17 years ago. I'd read manga but this was entirely different. I don't know how I found it. Years later, I bought a used copy of it. It's one of the most heartfelt and horrifically beautiful and relatable graphic novels. At least to me. I feel weird calling it a graphic novel bc it's more art than anything to me. If you pay attention throughout, the art changes to reflect the time or accuracy or awareness of the main character, at varying points. I know this is an old video and an older publication but I truly hope it doesn't end with our generation[s]
Thanks for sharing. I never noticed that about this book. Gonna have to revisit it! I prefer the term comic to graphic novel, but I feel that in this case the latter also fits, so I’m curious why you feel weird about it? That’s just what comics are - art in sequence. They are no less art than a single painting/panel
I took a quick look online and, unfortunately unless you’re willing to pay hundreds of dollars, you may be out of luck until a new printing. It sounds like there was already a reprint, so it’s not out of the question that it gets another. Maybe follow him on Insta for future updates
Oh shoot. Did the replacement age okay? Actually, I was going to make a video of his Darksiders art book, but just opening a single page will cause it to crumble to ash. Such a shame 😔
The Kickstarter only recently ended, so you’ll have to keep tuned to his social media to see when he does a public release. Likely soon, but not yet as far as I know
Hey thanks for the feedback. That’s a great idea, although the problem with a lot of these books is that their availability changes all the time, especially the art books. I was thinking of potentially sharing or doing a video on the spreadsheet that I built for organizing and tracking my entire collection. Which books are you trying to find links to buy? I can see if I can find them for you.
Unfortunately it looks like it’s been out of stock for a while. Even on Amazon. Someone else asked a bit back below in the comments. Your best bet is probably to follow him on Insta for any updates on new print runs. Good luck.
I really like Benjamin art. I hate his name, terrible SEO. I have Remember and Orange by him which were really nice to look at but trust nothing worth reading. XD
Lol I agree with all of your points. I also have Remember and Orange and don’t remember what they’re about. To be fair, you can use his Chinese name, “Bin Zhang” in search (which is I’m presuming “Benjamin” is a homophone of?) - this is how I labeled the videos that I did on the 2 books you mentioned
I think I randomly discovered his work when I was doing a shopping spree on Stuart Ng Books. It looks like they've got a bunch of his stuff, and they're located in the USA: stuartngbooks.com/?subcats=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&match=all&search_performed=Y&status=A&q=sandoval&dispatch=products.search
Darn, I don’t see it anywhere either. Your best bet may be to contact Andrea on social media or the publisher, Ominiky Ediciones, and follow Andrea on social media to see if/when he publishes a new run. Alternatively, keep an eye on Ominiky, Abe Books, Stuart Ng Books, Amazon, and eBay. These are the places that I’d expect it to show up if at all. Good luck 🙏🏽
