Appreciate it! I'm writing a light novel in Ulysses which uses Markup type text, but it seems that ultimately I'll have to use Word in the end for formatting photos and what not. Great explanations on the bleed feature! I've done that with Photoshop and posters but never thought about it with books.

Do i need to make an account to send out my arcs through kindle? I definitely want to try sending through kindle for free instead of using bookfunnel since bookfunnel requires you to buy a tier level membership. Again, very helpful.
i really want to publish my books on amazon kdp , but they r not letting me create an account, they keep asking for my phone number and when i give it, they say they've sent a code to verify it and i never recieve any code, and yes my mobile number is perfectly fine and working, Plz help. is this normal? Its been weeks and same problem is happening, i even tried using other phone numbers of my family members and still they dont work, is there some glitch with amazon kdp?
The Gatekeepers across all creative industries are (thankfully) dying. Going indie is becoming more and more the better path for control and profit. So many agents are just clueless trend chasers who wouldn't know a good story if it bit them in the ass.

I'll have to watch your KDP tutorial. I can't imagine. Also I have questions about size. So much to learn. Thank you sooo much for your great information. Great video. I'm already checking new releases to see if they contain a lot of personal politics and ideologies. I don't want to read that stuff. It's a shame, I just read a trad pub fantasy book (released this year) that snook in ideology and it spoiled the book for me. It didn't need to be in there at all, it's just a way for the author and publishers to virtue signal. I'm a writer and I definitely plan to self-publish for all the same reasons you gave. It also seems to be that in the UK you only get a book deal if you studied English at Oxford or Cambridge and speak with an upper class accent.
Yes you can. The only time there is exclusivity is if you join amazons program called kindle select (known to readers as kindle unlimited), then you sign an ebook exclusivity to be a part of that program.
I might have missed it. Do you have any videos on the business side of being an author? For example should one set up an LLC, or be aware of any taxes, or considerations that we need to keep in kind? Or info on copyrights?

Just self published my first book about our son's battle with ASD and OCD, and I think so far my big mistake is hesitating on promoting it. I was excited initially but started to second guess myself...I'm going to turn my brain off and push forward!

Also, what if you have multiple businesses - and want to maybe do different publishing houses for each? Or do I do a main one?
