They don't sound this good in person. I have the same bike and the same muffler, and at most RPMs it's kind of raspy and crappy sounding. Only sounds good at idle or steady speed.
So did the pipes meet up or did the slip on have a lip like the OEM? I got one that seems to have the same 2" pipe and a clamp. Does not slip over the pipe. Sounds good! More power?
I have a 2014 Silverado with 6 inch pro comp lift coming from front driver side theirs a fluddering kinda knocking noise coming at 5-10 mpg driving over rough ground everything is tight under front end maybe a loose strut mount an suggestions would be appreciated
Ed Troyer I had the same noise. Jack truck up and move wheel around and see if it has play in it. My noise was bad upper control arm bushing which they said was common on Z71

the only gripe I have with the Yamaha Vstar 1300 is the valve tappet adjustment. The dealer will get you for $400 at the 16K mile service interval. I have 28K miles on my '08 1300 and I did the tappet adjustment twice already. It is a pain in the butt however you save some big $$$ if you do it yourself. My bike had zero problems at 28K miles, just tire changes, rear brake pads, spark plugs and air filter. By the way your 1300 Tour Deluxe in blue metallic looks gorgeous. Might be my next bike next year. Enjoy
Thanks for the video! Currently have a 2014 Yamaha Bolt (950) Super fun bike and easy to run to work and around town. The bike has plenty of power to get up and haul tail, yet one thing I do not care for is the gear spacing. It seems to run at a higher RPM going 68-75 than I'd like to do for a long trip Even though it has plenty of power, not the most comfortable... The reviews on this bike have been great, Just wondering how it handles going down the freeway ( wind, noise, vibration...etc) Thanks again for posting the video!
The bike handles great going down the highway. The noise is loud but that's due to the cobra slip on exhaust I have installed. Wind is not bad at all with the windshield that comes with it. Most of the wind is coming up from the forks and over the gas tank but it's just enough to be comfortable and not be a bother. I can run 70-75 comfortably but if you get 80 and above it runs high rpm but it's not like it's straining the bike to run over 80 or anything just uncomfortable. I might try and get a video of some highway riding soon.

Sounds great, I wondered what the cobra sounded like .. I drilled out the baffle, a similar sound, but yours is/seems a bit deeper... I've been keeping an eye out for a used one at a steal.. Thanks for sharing.
I have the same bike and drilled out the baffle, it sounded good but I wanted more, I put on the Cobra slip on and what a difference, no comparison!!!!
Keep up the videos, you are right there isn't much out there for the 1300 deluxe! I will probably uprade my 950 to that at some point in the next year or so.
