#1 GOD #2 FAMILY #3 MODELING: Step by step, how to videos. Born in Kalmazoo, Michigan but lived in Florida from the age of 4. Now retired, self employed master electrician / jack of all trades. Was into modeling from a young age and to this day continue the hobby only with a little more patience and experience. I was inspired by other RU-vid creators to start filming what I was doing as a hobby along with some other home improvment project videos. Subjects covered so far include: electrical wiring, gardening, carpentry, furniture restoration, tree house build, irrigation system, and a screened porch build. One of the places I used to work for made battries and the machines that produced them. I hope you find these videos helpfull and I thank you for watching.
No idea if this will reach you but worth a try …….. I’m looking for a figurehead and stern side windows in metal for my Bounty. My Billing’s kit is conspicuous by their absence. Can you help? On another note … your series on the Bounty? Wonderful stuff, all that work bu.t so well worth it for the pleasure and help it must give to us struggling ship builders.
Glad to hear you sounding like your old self again. hell of a thing to go through. Question- Do you watch other builders on You Tube? A world of knowledge about ship building and different techniques and tricks. For example, at the top of the shrouds, many ships of the period have futtock plates. You can google it. It holds the shrouds apart evenly just below the top platform. (what you have been calling the crows nest ) and it is where the futtock shrouds tie to. Your almost done with this one. Anything coming next? Ill keep my eyes open. Take care.
Oh yes I watch maney other builders and tons of documentaries, stories, history reinactments and much more. There is a play list on my channel called "wooden model ship" that is full of stuff like that and I add to it all the time. There is no end to what you can learn on the net.
Roger, looking great! Hopefully you're on the right path and that TURP will be put behind you. On the matter of the capacitor, regardless of the readings if the capacitor shows any signs of bulging, replace it! Most of the evaporator fans also tend to take out the 24V contactors so you might want to replace that too. Easy and very affordable.
Roger, I'm happy to hear the surgery went well and you had no pain! I have been rescheduled to 9/17 and I am not looking forward to it. PS, the ship looks great!
Looking good, Roger! I hope you're feeling better and healing quickly, and that that catheter is finally out. My surgery from last week was cancelled as I didn't feed well the morning of the surgery and tested positive for COVID. Just my lucky. We shall see when I can be rescheduled. But this cough refuses to go away!
@@RogerRamjetman Thank you for the prayers ands well wishes. Hopefully the TURP will take care of if, but sometimes it takes two surgeries to do it. Praying you are one and done! I'm still waiting on my new surgery date.
Roger, good luck and I hope that catheter comes out for good! It is certainly is both annoying and frustrating. I get mine put in on Tuesday. Out with the old and new with the new. Ugh....
Roger, I hope all is well. Looks like I am going to you with another upcoming prostate surgery on July 30, yep, that's next week. This will be my forth procedure but thankfully no cancer. The odd thing is my PSA is at 12.4 and no cancer? We shall see...Get better!
@@RogerRamjetman I am having my second Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is a surgery to remove the inside part of the prostate gland. It is done in order to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate. Recovery time is slated for 6-8 weeks and yes, I will need a catheter for the first 4 days. Not fun at all.
Sorry to hear that you aren’t feelin’ the best. Here’s wishing you a speedy recovery. You have been part of my gang over here in Ireland for the best part of a year now as I struggle through my Bounty build. Without you I’d be lost. I’m making good progress now though with your help. Many thanks and Get Well!
Hi Roger. The breeching rope that you discussed in the video loops around the bulbous part at the back end of the gun. The eyebolts on the ends of the breeching rope are mounted into the bulwarks (typically below where the tackle is mounted). Hope that helps.
I think it's 1/4 " or 5 / 16 " and it has a wood grain finish on one side. It has to be sealed or painted for wet locations, I think its concrete and fiber board sold at Home Depot.
@@RogerRamjetman thank you! I just tore apart some old owner DIY that just had plywood on both sides with a gap in the middle, found a nice wasp nest during demo. Did you nail the board to the 1x2 frame or just like liquid nail it?
I think the cardiologist meant gentle walks to the park or the local nature reserve - not install a full blown home garden sprinkler system 😊 Anyway don’t over do it!
@@philsreef746 Ya I stop alot to rest and drink some water or coffee, breathing and wiping sweat off and standing back to caculate the easyest way to do the next step with long pauses because I can.
Hey Rodger, an early post this week I see. I have never built one of these section kits but they certainly look fun! Perhaps after the Santa Marie I will build one.
Looking good Roger. Does the kit include any false frames for the inside of the hull, above the deck, as it kind of looks a bit bare unless the canons will be there instead.
