Very good explanation. I'm just trying to get into Ansys Mechanical and it's a monster, but very good. This helps. Do you have similar explanations for loads and forces? Thanks.

If you have a shaft-hub connection (pressfit), does the contact stiffness have an influence on the transferable torque or the stress results?
@juliancarax4951
@juliancarax4951 Год назад
i think the answer is "yes", because with the value difference of contact stiffness, will result in difference in stress value at the point of contact.

Good explanation sir, Thank you for your valuable information. Sir, I would like to know what type of contact need to use if the contact body and target body are attached using a screw. Thank you
@ansystipsandtricks
@ansystipsandtricks 4 года назад
Typically frictional or friction-less if you are interested in knowing the separation force between them or you can model them as bonded if your case do not undergo any separation

Bro, thank you for crystal clear explanation. I have 2 questions: 1. How can we assign frictional + no separation out? There is an absent condition. 2. Can we assign 2 or more contact types on same surface pairs? For example: Frictional + no separation contact types separately for same surface pairs
