@@Highlander1432 MPP parts are way better than track pack.for a lot less money. Planning to do camber arms front and rear, rear toe arms, MPP brakes . Track pak only changes wheels and brakes, stock suspension and bushings, that suck.
@@Highlander1432 Yeah not a lot of people actually racing Plaids beside dragstrip... I can tell the car is at least as hard to drive as my manual racing spec C7 GS to drive on AutoX ^^
Yes with latest Hp Tuners update it works (otherwise need to disable VSS sensor and then rev match does not work). However I was faced with a bug with latest HP tuner update and I went back to my old tune with VSS sensor disabled. And yes you need to reprogram for the swap to work.
Hey man! Ive got a '19 HCI GS M7 and will be picking up a '17 Z06 M7 in the next coming days. Ive read your post and checked your vid out, what did you end up doing to solve fhe rev match and limp mode issues? Im dying to get my hands on that sweet sweet gearing lol.
Hi there! Ive been researching this for some time and i want to say Great video and subsequent posts detailing your experience and procedure in doing this. I have a HCI '19 GS M7 and have a very similar build and purpose as yours. I mainly do road courses and the gear ratios in the Z06 M7 are much, much better. Im in the process of picking up a '17 Z06 M7 trans to get prepared for the swap, and i saw that you were having issues with limp mode. Were you ever able to get this resolved? Id greatly appreciate any insight! Love the car!
Hi. I had to disable VSS sensor on mine, which disable cruise control and rev match. I still drive mostly like that because even if HP tuner released a fix, it created a bug on the track for me, that i didn't have the time yet to troubleshoot. You can see on my last videos that I have a track session with the rev match working. The following day the car was limiting power with a weird message on the dash so I loaded my older tune with VSS deactivated. Been running like that since but next season I will look into it. To note that 19's car seemed to have more issues with the swap than 17's, not sure why, it should work though. I can help you with the tune if you have issues (I tune myself)
Thanks for the reply! When I looked into it, I could hardly find any info on these swaps aside from your posts and video. What were you able to find on the '19s that cause more issues? I'm kinda nervous about the whole thing, so I'm trying to get as much info together before I pull the trigger
@@MrMaus3r I don't. One guy with a 19 contacted me and his shop never got it to work, but to me they were useless. They fucked up the assembly the first time and damaged sensors. The guy did not have HP tuners so I was not able to help him. I believe the HP tuner fix will work for all cars but I cannot be 100% sure. My fix should work as well (disabling VSS) but I cannot know before someone tries to load my config with HP tuners
That 3-4 shift is so much better in comparison to the GS transmission. I have my Z06 gearbox waiting and hoping to try to make this work in the off season. Nice driving! Check my channel out 😁
Why its not safe or why you are not sure about disconnecting the tubes from edif/elsd module ? or losing oil in the circuit ? can u please explain the problem of it ? because we have dropped of the gearbox with the diff and in order to do it we have disconnected the lines from the module
Because there is a specific procedure to follow to prime the circuit I believe. Its probably in the C7 shop tech manual, but it might require specific tools or software to purge the air/bleed. I did not want to mess with it and spend unnecessary time. Someone did it and had to go to GM to get it done... i do not want GM to touch my car ^^
@@nabushdinosaure Interesting. I have put a good bit of miles on my dad's 2019 ZL1 1LE, and the car is extremely capable, however I just really dislike a lot of things about it that I'm afraid are inherent to the Camaro.
Fast lap! You nailed a lot of it and definitely got the rhythm down, which is the hardest part for ORP. Sub50 is a goal for me, so seriously nice work! For feedback of where there's more time (seems like high 46 possible in this car): T4 to T5 - I think you got a little greedy on the entry to T5, so you couldn't get on throttle quite as early as would be ideal. In the right hander out of the corkscrew, you had to wait a while to get on power. Probably went in a bit too hot, and didn't cut hard enough. There's a tiny bit more in T13 since you missed the apex by a few feet.
Thanks for your advice ! you are totally right for all your points ;) I did several low 48's with better lines but somewhat this lap ended up the fastest...
Was the swap pretty straight forward mine started wining today was it direct bolt in from one diff to the other? Any tuning or anything i should know thanks and are they the same ratio
From a logical standpoint I would think not, since the padles are connected to ecu that tells it to shift. If u want a proper Manual swap u 1 need all the small part u didn't know u needed. And the the smaller brake pedal, clutch, and new ecu for the swap.
Unless they make a Wiring kit to basically bypass it and trick it into thinking its the rev match pedals that goes into ecu, but may need to splice some wires
C7Z06 with factory driver did 2min39 in 2019 with new magnetic ride calibration... It did 2min44 in 2017 with cars and driver, with the old calibration that was several seconds slower. Also let me remind you the GT4RS was using CUP2R tires which are significantly faster. Lets not talk about price... C8 Z06 was cheaper and faster and VIR with same tires if we go this way.... And BTW why answering here ?
Katech ported heads, Katech torquer LT1 cam, PSI valve springs(single), VVT lock at 4degree, piston ring gap adjusted,AFM delete cover... Plus peripheral parts like Solers 95mm TB, MSD Intake Manifold, DSX flex fuel sensor, AFE CAI, ARH LT headers with X pipe and high flow cats +HP tuners tune.
1970kg
Yes you can. You will just have to plug the oil cooler lines reusing the plugs you have on your current transmission.(as base C7 does not have a gearbox oil cooler) The rev match does not work for now because of a bug in hp tuner. The table for gearbox ratios does not work so I had to disable temporarily the output shaft speed sensor. Not a big deal for me as I prefer rev matching myself. Hopefully they will resolve soon, I have a ticket open with them.
Congrats! Car seems dialed. The Z06 gearbox is a must for these cars in 7M. The Z51 ratios are horrible. Like you said too short in 1-2 and 3-4 feels like you lose 50hp with the huge drop in rpm. I guess I’ll be the second with the swap lol. Level 7 TR6070 from RPM transmission on the way for my 572 rwhp’19 GS. Do you think now with the longer gears you would benefit from a 3.90 final ratio in the differential? Or you think with the power your at it’s fine? I’m going to do the 3.90’s as well Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the new suspension setup.
